theyre comparing it to mitotic slime because it gives you the exact same power overal as the wurm, over more bodies and costs 1 less mana....
Personally i like the wurm a lot, it gets another way "around" day of judgment. Of course the deathtouch and lifelink always help
No, not even close.
I was around when Juzam Djinn was huge because it was a 5/5 for 4 mana (including 2 black)... Wurm is a 6/6 +++ for 6 while Slime is a 4/4 + for 5 (including a green)... sorry, they are only comparable in their gy effect.
Like some other guy said... it's simple math that makes this card a beauty. Unfortunetly it's also a simple Naturalize that scares the crap out of artifact cards/decks.
The whole reason this card is mythic is because it is over the power curve. Its a 6/6 that basically has Basilisk Collar on, so its like paying 3 for a 6/6 Mitotic Slime "replica" (3 to play and equip collar). That right there is mythic status, I think. Putting the fact that it cannot really die is just icing on the cake.
Yeah, no clue how ppl can begin to compare this with Mitotic Slime which is a 4/4 nothing (excluding similar gy effect of course) for five and color dependent.
Wurm has tons of potential but for now I'll take my trample and haste green beasts over this. Hopefully this is a taste of the nice artifacts for the set.
