After more playing with chalice in the main deck I agree with you warden. I actually only like it for the combo match up since a lot of times I feel that chalice doesn't do enough vs control. Sure, it counters there brainstorm and such, but I don't think I would bring chalice in vs them. Now vs combo it is really strong. My only concern is that with out some way to get it turn one, it might be to slow to actually fight combo but I might be wrong.

Yea, that looks like what I was thinking. Now we need to test it. Might not be great but definitely something we should test at least

I have been using a chalice of the void in the main deck for the past couple of days. It does a lot better vs zoo and combo, but vs the mid range decks it actually sucks vs them. I have been using chrome mox to get chalice for one on turn one it it has pretty good even though it does conflict with fow some times. The banning of MM really hurt blue decks which really blows but we need to keep brainstorming. Anyone thinks a chalice of the void version could be good? I am still undecided but wanted to see what other people thought.

Were there any cards that you would be disappointed with? Like Spellsutter sprite seems kind of weak to me.

Warden I agree with you for the most part. I have mix feelings about powder keg because I would say 80 percent of the time I hate the card, but what I do like is the ability to kill mox diamond and noble hierarchic so back to basic can really take over. I really think there is something better to kill those but I haven't had the time to really look for a better answer. Keg is just really slow and a lot of times I am very disappointed when I draw it.

The big problem that I have with him is that he won't always be a 3/2 with flying. If you play him turn one and the following turn he doesn't transform I think he is bad. I also do not like giving my opponent info since I have to reveal a card if I want a 3/2 flying. If they know I have a counterspell I just hate the thought of that since they can play around it now.

What does everyone think of the new snapcaster mage for us? I definitely think that stoneblade decks will run that guy since It really seems good to be able to brainstorm and have more stp in your deck, but how do you guys think it will play for us?

ok, so basically you want to try new things which is great. I can't see this guy being better than any of those 3 guys though unless you are seeing something that I am not lol.

Hmmmmmm Why do you think he is better than Morphling or Sphinx of the jar isle because for us(meaning MUC) at least, I don't. I don't like the idea of putting cards that might need later in the game in to the gy with no way to get them back. I think he might be good in standard though.

Kevin can you give me a reason why to run this guy? Thanks.

I agree that the card should be some where in the 75, but I think depending on what you are going to see dictates if you should run it in the board or main.

I was someone for a long time who always thought that b2b should always be in the main deck but after 2 times running MUC in recent tournaments and both times having that card being a disappointment makes me rethink that card in the MD. I think you have to guess correctly what decks you think are going to be there as both time I guess incorrectly and got punish for it. That is my opinion on that subject. I could be wrong and maybe we should just run it because of how powerful it is but I hate when a card is merely fow fodder for most of my games.

Warden I agree with you on Sphinx and I think I am going to be trying it out. The card just seems very powerful and with MM I actually think he becomes viable. Do you have a list that you are thinking about. Would love to see on how you would build MUC.

Phyrexian Metamorph- I def think that this guy is going to be some where in my 75. In the tournament that I played in on Saturday he was good and I like having an out vs thrun and Pro. Have other people tried him and if so what do you guys think about him? I will say in the tournament I went to on Saturday I really only wanted him in the MD once though and that was in my round one vs reanimator but I won vs that anyway.

Energy field- So I went 4-2 this Saturday with out energy field in my list. I was pretty happy that I didn't run this card as I think it would have been pretty bad for me. The only game where someone didn't have an out to it was the merfolk player but I went 2-0 vs him anyway. I think it might give me game one vs goblins but my friend ran 4 reb in the sb so I think that was a losing battle imo. I also think that if they do not run reb in their board then propaganda and shackles are good enough to take the win. So overall I was really happy that I didn't run that card since I feel the card is just to fragile and if I did I probably would have lost.

Yea, you can hold on to cards but at some time you will have to discard. Time might not be on your side when you are playing this card. I know the card is obviously good since it has put on some good results, but there are a lot of things that go against that card for me as well. Another thing that I do not like about it is that is it does not protect your Jace so you can not just sit back and fateseal them to death. I always feel like the deck needs more O stone so you can have a reset button with your field.

Energy field is also really bad with your fetchlands. Having you worry about wasteland breaking your field is pretty bad.

sol ring is banned. You also run way to many counters and if something actually gets though you have no way to stop it unless you can bounce it. Cancel and the other 3 mana counters are just not playable as they do not actually do enough, and I really think control needs more draw power. People seem to run brainstorm, Ancestral Visions, and fof to help draw and find the cards they need. Brainstorm is very bad with out fetchlands.

I also suggest running Shackles as that card really saves this deck IMO. Having ways to deal with resolve creatures is a huge thing to have. Mental misstep is also a must IMO and Jace is so good, but if you can not afford Jace, then I don't really think it is a big deal. I am also a big fan of Vendilion Clique.
