Dreams is cute, but it's also risky. If you discard your whole hand, you are leaving yourself no counterspell backup. They could counter the Dreams, leaving you SOL, or just nuke Damia, leaving you almost as bad SOL. I already run plenty of tutors, it just seems like overkill, especially when my "dream combo" hand requires but a single card
That one is also nice, and it's a decent reason for me to consider the archmage, but as you see above, with TnN mana +2, I automatically win off of it with no other cards needed (assuming it resolves, which your situation also assumes).
Archmage also leaves a few holes - what if the combined might of your opponents can muster more than two threatening spells across one full round?
that is true but it is an instant. You can do it at the end of there turn and draw them on your upkeep. i think its still worth a spot. you dont need to discard your whole hand. You could just discard 6 with a counter in hand or just discard one. its pretty flexible
I think all damia decks should play insidious dreams. Discard your whole hand and next turn you have the dream hand to combo out or whatever you need to do.
bitterblossom is not needed in here at all. Your general does alot better as a token generator. take it out and put in earthcraft. An absolute must. It makes this deck broken. can go infinite with almost anything.
earthcraft seems like it would be good with him if you used tidespout tyrant or cloudstone curio with any creature with one colored mana cost or two if you have a mana flare effect out for infinite come into play abilities
How about the Jumiper order ranger and woodfall primus combo. Is it worth playing in this deck? they are both good cards by themselves and together are amazing.
It's certainly very strong but I have no way to tutor for it meaning it will only get drawn once every 3-4 games. I only run 5 cards I can't tutor for that aren't tutors themselves, 3 of them generate tokens (Sprout Swarm/Decree of Justice/Elspeth Tirel), 1 is my only sweeper (Austere Command) and the last one I win almost every time I cast it (Replenish) and I don't feel the Counsel is stronger than any of these in this deck. I could remove something a bit weaker but that makes my toolbox less robust and weakens my tutors a little bit. My group also runs a fair amount of graveyard hate and cheap counterspells so there's that to consider as well. I'll put it in the primer somewhere though as an option.
I think it is stronger then Elspeth. Is elspeth really that good? She makes you some token, gains you some life and sometimes goes ultimate. I haven't tried her so I don't know but it seems to me Praetors council is better.
Cause if you don't have any protection. Your general will get destroyed if someone plays jitte turn two. I think asceticism fits in this deck pretty well.
Phantom Nishoba is pretty cute but im not much for beaters in edh.
Reviellark was in my list with the rest of the infinite acidic slime combo but I cut it cause I wanted to fit other stuff in there.
oversold cemetary is good but what would i cut for it?
Ya I think I need to find a spot for blade of the bloodchief too.
Cauldron of souls is not good enough I think for a spot. Its good theres just better stuff to fit in the list
I dont like squirell nest cause its a horrible card without earthcraft and earthcraft is amazing by itself. especially in this deck
And I think you're right about burgeoning, it just feels so good to have it turn one lol

Mostly the idea is to tutor for doubling season and earthcraft for infinite tokens. Any thoughts or ideas, adds or removes would be appreciated

And do you think this deck is usable in multiplayer?
