I don't think you need quite that good of an opening hand to show how good Skullclamp is, but you do bring up another nice combo deck: Thropter foundry.
I think that my first post was thinking too big, like cards that are just completely unfair. Some smaller cards that deserve consideration:
Skullclamp, "But it kills my creature for only two cards!"
You should make a Skullclamp deck, I have a Kobold-clamp deck that got pretty consistant T1 wins. I think that basically you can pick through the Legacy banned list to get an idea of older, mostly unfair cards.
Lashwrithe is pretty sweet with a shadow creature, I don't know if Strata Scythe would be better? (It would definately get better if you have any spare Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth lying around)
One last thing, you mentioned you may be playing multiplayer. Fleshbag Marauder may be better than Gatekeeper of Malakir, especally since you don't mind having creatures go to your graveyard.
I am in need of a little help here.
I am fairly new to altering, haven't figured it all out yet. How can I prevent that the frame of the old picture shines through? The changeover from picture to paint isn't as continuous as I want it to be. Look at my alter, there you can see what I mean (e.g. above an under the blade of the weapon).
Do I have to paint more layers?
You could try some sort of gray basecoat, then paint on that. I seem to remember E. Klug has some sort of picture tutoral on this (maybe check the links in his signature?) I don't really do this altering stuff, so I could be pretty far off base on this one.
This card will never see competitive Legacy play, and the Eternal formats are what drives the multiplier on foils.
I feel this is completely wrong, there are plenty of foils that are expensive for EDH, cube, or collection reasons. Examples could include:
Any rare land
Time Stop
Pattern of Rebirth
Rares from Urza's Legacy
Rares from 7th
All that said, I don't think that the Sublime Archangle is that good and it probably be one of the more valuable cards in the set in 3 years. But being the most valuable card doesn't mean picking one up will be worth your while.
I think it might. From a casual perspective, it's a cool card that does an interesting thing. Obviously, it seems like it would have gotten all the boost it would have gotten from casual players, but if it sees more Legacy play, more casual players will see it and want it.
I think it will go to $25, but wouldn't be surprised if it got to $30.
It's probably been discussed to death somewhere in the pages behind me, although I had a hard time locating it. Why has Gilded Drake shot up so much in price? I was looking to snag a couple and missed the boat and I just wanted to know which decks were running it and/or if there was something else that caused this spike?
A couple of pages back this was discussed about selling at $25ish
It wouldn't be fair to say they can't use there cards but at the same time it's not fair to the group b/c we have bought cards that we can't even use b/c we can't get them out as quick as he/she can. I feel that his/her need to use really nasty and expensive cards has kind of ruined the game for everyone, has anyone else experienced this kind of problem?
Allow proxies.
If that doesn't work then build a better deck then they have. There are plenty of decks that can win on a budget, they just may not be as consistant. If you guy are on a serious budget (like can't put $15 towards a combo deck) then come up with a format theme. 4 tinkers and 4 sol rings make deckbuilding unecessary, but if you are playing with the legacy B&R list then there will have to be some thought put into decks.
If none of this works, try playing team games (like archenemy).
Really wanted to find a place for Faith's Reward, but since the Martyr's Bond doesn't do lands it just wouldn't work out...
This deck uses Greater Gargadon to really abuse Martyr's Bond with a result of hopefully getting a 9/7 haste out when they have no creatures/get no more creatures. It uses reusable artifacts/enchantments to try and help out with Martyr's Bond.
Buy or sell Cavern of Souls at $18-$20?
Cavern of Souls looks like its ... starting to be used in legacy (most notably top 8 Maverick lists). I feel like ... Legacy players won't buy it for its $20 price tag post rotation because it isn't good enough.
I would sell Cavern at $20, I am not sure that it is that ground shattering in Legacy. It seems that only adding colored mana when playing creatures might not be good enough in current legacy decks. Not saying that the card won't get played, but I feel that EDH and casual appeal will make this card retain some decent value after rotation.
At 35 for a confidant, I would sell. 35 really seems to be one of the higher ebay prices and from what I understand confidant isn't the legacy juggernaut it used to be.
Sense's Parallel Lives is sick, it reminds me of the koi in my parents pond. I feel that everyone did a good job, hopefully this can keep going cause it is nice to see what people come up with.

Hermit Druid
Goblin Charbelcher
Fireblast
Yawgmoth's Will (Not a little card, but no one has mentioned it?)
Time Vault
Psychatog
There are others, but I am feeling lazy now.

In case they don't know, Reanimate is beast, World-gorger Dragon is insane, and Grindstone actually has a purpose.

This is what I was referring to when I said that it was being discussed as a $25 card.
Ancient Tomb is an interesting one, the card is like a poor man's City of Traitors. A re-print would hurt the value, maybe bring it back down to $5?

There is that and it is pretty sweet in EDH, but I think it is mostly to steal your opponents Emrakurl.

I don't read others submissions until after I post, so hopefully this is a unique idea so far.

Like 13-16USD.
Ebay needs to change how they deal with fake bids, currently like nothing happens...
