lol @ people blaming Kibler for this. And it's unbelievable that those people in charge of MTGO get to keep their jobs apparently. But the worst thing about this misery is that I still have no Hearthstone Key Frown

I don't think people are blaming Kibler exactly. I think people who say that are expressing their frustration that this issue, which has clearly been a MAJOR problem for months to years and has not been addressed, suddenly gets pushed to a top priority simply because Kibler spoke up. They are frustrated because this illustrates how little WotC cares about everyone BUT Kibler.

For example, MTGO has consistently been reducing the value of playing by increasing the cost of redemption absurdly and trimming their best EV events for years. Many people have complained, nothing has been done and those people have largely been ignored. Now if someone like Kibler or LSV made a huge post clearly articulating all of these changes and saying he is done playing MTGO and recommends everyone else quits too, you can bet something major would be done about it. WotC simply does not care about screwing over the common MTGO player unless someone with enough visibility really holds them over the fire.

If you seriously play mtgo to support your family, you should probably get a real job and stop being a lazy turd that makes peanuts playing a fantasy game all day. This isn't supposed to be a job, its a TCG that is intended to be a hobby. Hobbies don't come with job security.

Easy to say when you live in the US, but if you live somewhere like Brazil where the minimum wage is under 2$ an hour, grinding is a reasonable option.

Yep, if you've been around MTGO for any length of time you know this is probably Wizards taking an opportunity to get rid of daily events under the guise of fixing their server issues.

Probably a monocolored creature and probably very green.

GGGG for a 7/7 or 8/8 would be my guess. A 6/6 for GGGG wouldn't be playable, anything that costs 5 mana or more wouldn't be playable, and anything that cost 3 or less and was playable would be bordering on too powerful.

This has to be the best Divine Verdict has ever been. It's probably the best non-rare removal spell.

I went infinite by speculating, I don't really even play any MTGO much anymore, I just have a growing pile of tix that I keep rolling over into more speculation. You need to keep very close tabs on the standard metagame, know what cards to buy low and know when to buy them and be ready to sell them at a moments notice.

Trying to go infinite by actually playing Magic is a bad idea. A very small minority can do it, but unless you are an elite player you will more than likely slowly lose money at best.

I've played the beta on MTGO a few times, the removal is definitely intentionally nerfed a bit. That is because of bestow. Targeting your creatures with spells is a major aspect of this format, whether you are using combat tricks or auras, and they obviously didn't want to people getting 2 for 1s for only 2-3 mana.

Double Orzhov is hands down the best in 2HG. It is not close.

I played it as my 40th card in a 2 color Orzhov deck and it was fine simply because it gave me another spell to extort with.

Tectonic Edge and Teetering Peaks were also out of standard by the time they were released.

Nobody should take anything done by Sheldon seriously, the guy is clueless. The B&R list is just a collection of his personal preferences, so trying to legitimately argue anything one way or another is a waste of effort.

I believe the promo card will be separate from the guild booster pack. I assume we will get 6 boosters total and 1 prerelease card like always, not 5 boosters, 14 other non-rare cards, and 1 promo rare.

Each Guild Prerelease Pack contains items designed specifically for the chosen guild.

5 Return to Ravnica booster packs
    1 Guild Booster Pack
    1 Promo Card
    1 Achievement Card
    1 Spindown™ Life Counter
    1 Letter from the Guildmaster
    1 Guild Symbol Sticker

For this event, players may use the promo card included with the Guild Prerelease Pack in their tournament deck.

The promo card is included in the "Guild Prerelease Pack," which is what they used to describe the entirety of product you recieve. The "Guild Booster Pack" is separate from the "Promo card" (and distinct from the "Guild Prerelease Pack") and the Guild Booster Pack will probably be 15 guild cards with 1 guild rare.

Blood Artist in zombies, not MBC. BA is definitely a handful, the life swings are often backbreaking.

Yeah, Arc Trail can be very effective. The issue I have is that Bonfire has too much upside to pass up when compared to Arc Trail. Bonfire from your hand for 2R is very similar to Arc Trail, and then you also have those games where you topdeck Bonfire and win on the spot.

The time for Thundermaw is (maybe) after rotation. Right now Thundermaw has to contend with cheap removal like Dismember, Vapor Snag, and Doom Blade/Go for the Throat, all of which will be rotating. After rotation, depending on what removal is in RTR, he will be pretty free to be a serious closer. I expect it to dip down in the next couple months then go up to 25+ after rotation assuming he finds a home then.
