It's a big difference. I couldn't ultimately switch over because of how much thicker they made each individual card. It's an extra 50% increase at least. If not twice as thick.
Aside from increased thickness, how were these?
I'd read that there was somewhat increased cloudiness.
With the shocks, do you just go with the art that you prefer, or do you go with whatever foil you can get hands on? I'm like 8/10 on preferring the Rob Alexander arts, but they are super expensive in foil
Yeah, for shocks I'm going for favorite art, which ended up being many of the newer and cheaper versions (and more signature variance ).
It'll be nice to have the dual/shock/fetches each with a distinct frame.
I traded an Unlimited one away a few years back to get a Lili -
Lately I've been enjoying upgrading lands for the cube.
Though the pimping list is getting fairly small, boy are they tough pickups to stomach.
Glad I'm not aspiring to get black-bordered duals (a same-name foreign Taiga would be cool, but to have only one bb would bother me)
I'm definitely also in the camp of enjoying played cards.

A someone who hopes to someday singleton-out my tokens (currently have Pack Rat 'tokens' in different languages), I'm quite happy with the new offerings from Conspiracy.
Had a blast at GP San Jose :D. Did horribly in sealed, but got a bunch of signatures.
I made a trade that might have been monetarily bad, <darn low store trade-in value > but felt oh so good-
...my Italian Tabernacle + Counterbalance (foil) + UNH Mtn (foil) for...
Now to someday update my horribly outdated Cube list on MTGS and get some pics of the whole thing.
I must say, wtwlf, your Cube alters are a beautiful thing.
Does create a body and can bounce if needed, though.

'twas quite a bummer Jeff Laubenstein had decided to go to Prague rather than Oakland. (but understand)
I feel like WotC really missed out by not making old border masterpieces with the release of Dominaria.
Think I'll likely move to KMC hards then.
I haven't got a custom box built yet, so the size expanse should be fine.
Aside from increased thickness, how were these?

GP Seattle was amazing for signatures.
So nice chatting with many og artists.
Got to do some trade acquisitions, too.
Ahh... the 'ol Absorb discussions
Nice Baroh 'Twist
Jason Felix had a neat transfer process that can do a great iridescent effect.
For the cube's Russian representation, I asked Tedin do some faux Cyrillic on his Elite Vanguard signature
