Price is a far greater determinant than "has it been reprinted recently". However, inasmuch as Mindslaver's reprint driven down the price, I would doubt it would be in Modern Masters. Remember, MM is about reprinting Modern Staples that are in high demand and limited supply resulting in a high price. There are plenty of Mindslaver's now.
There's no way the whole set is just valuable reprints though, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a bunch of cheapo rares that are fun in limited as well as under a dollar casual favorites. Mindslaver totally fits that.
It seems about on a par with deadbridge , depending on the deck. Hellrider is probably a better option for shorter-term aggro strategies. I think this card's ability to get bigger even on it's own is significant though. Perhaps it falls between hyper agressive and midrange too much for it to be useful.
I actually really, really like this guy at the top of the curve alongside hellrider- hellrider is the obvious 4-of but 2 or 3 of these seem great if you want to run a bunch of the 2 power 1 drops. Even one swing is probably enough to make him a 6/6 or a 7/7 much of the time.
That's a very beautiful Arbor, Poxy. For this piece, I would have definitely removed the cardtype box (I know it is the FTV one, wich happens to have a new design, but I would have just let the custom art to be the central element of the composition. The box just distract the attention from it.
Here's the sketch for my next alteration: Foil & Custom Art Angel TOken for Geist of Saint Traft
I commissioned that Dryad Arbor, and I asked him specifically to leave the boxes in because they convey all the relevant game text of the card, which I thought was kind of neat. The idea was that both the art box and the text box could be altered without actually obscuring any of the rules text of the card.
I dont like playing against high tension players. The ones who pressure you to be done. Rapping their cards on the table during your turn. Breathing out a long heavy breath every few minutes. Challenging the mana spent for every spell. Asking each turn how many cards I'm holding - beyond the 'every couple turns' card count or actively needing to know (like gambling against a blue player, a discard deck or cards that refere to cards in hand).
Like they can pressure and harass you enough to make mistakes that would cause you to lose. I deal with it well, but I don't like to deal with it. I'm seasoned to it because pool players do the same thing. Just feels unwarrented in a magic card game.
If they lose the first round, the behavior escalates. Snide comments or shuffling your deck may be included.
Double checking the mana spent for every spell, keeping an active count of the cards in your opponents hand and shuffling your opponents deck are all things every player should do because it's good practice to watch for cheats. It also actively makes you better because you get a better idea of your opponent's hand and what they could have. I really don't see how that's the worst type of person to play against- YOU should probably be playing like that!
I can't believe this thread has got to four pages and no one's mentioned bad hygiene yet because gawd almighty that's the absolute worst. I hate playing in the summer because not only is it hot and cramped in the store, but it smells like absolute death.
e: seriously it's not hard to shower every day and put on some deodorant. The person sitting across from you will appreciate it.
i dont know what the frame would look like but this guy would benefit from one:

4/4
Didn't realize we were only able to use things that already exist... kind of defeats the purpose of CCC
generally people like it when you stick to at least moderately believable cards and R&D hasnt used anything besides +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters for over a decade because other counters have extremely bad memory issues.
Smelly DogG
Creature- Hound {c}
1/2
it has multiple meanings.
