The change from giving out judge foils at GPs to the exemplar program has probably slowed rate of more copies entering the markets. They're trying to mail out the first wave of foils from the pilot program, and there may be a number of elesh norns entering with this mailing.

I can't see Sarkhan going up as Khans is going to be way, way, way more opened than M15. Nissa is also constantly a 4-of in decks, I can't really see any deck wanting 4 sarkhans though.

However if you want to play with Sarkhans straight away it doesn't hurt to preorder as you will get value from use.

    Hi guys,
I'm a bit of a newer player and I've been having a lot of fun with this deck and its variants.

I was wondering if I could get a bit of clarification on the order that this combo triggers out. If you have multiple ascendancies in play, do they trigger separately?

Assume you play a cantrip spell with one ascension.

The two abilities of ascension will trigger, you choose the order they go on the stack. The one on top resolves first, so if you put the looting ability on top you will draw and discard, then the untap trigger resolves.

If you have 2 ascensions you get 4 triggers total, and you choose how they all go on the stack. Ideally you want to resolve the two looting triggers first. The first untap trigger resolves, you untap your mana dorks. In response to the second untap trigger still on stack you tap the dorks again for mana netting one mana for every dork you have out.

    http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/mm/khan-do-attitude-part-2-2014-09-08

One of the things development is very concerned with is making sure that the average player understands the basic strategy of the set he or she is playing with. While drafting Khans of Tarkir with Magic players in the building who weren't from R&D, Erik Lauer, the set's lead developer as well as R&D's head developer, realized they were missing a very important basic drafting strategy. In Khans of Tarkir, if you start by drafting two color, there is a big different between drafting an ally-colored pair and an enemy-colored pair.

Ally-color pairs only allow you a single wedge option, while enemy-color pairs leave you open to draft two different clans. For instance, if you start by drafting white-blue, you can only then go on to draft the Jeskai wedge, but if you start by drafting blue-red, you leave yourself open to both Jeskai and Temur. Many of the players were missing this, so Erik tried an experiment. By shifting the mana costs such that the enemy pairs were sitting next to each other in mana costs, it became a little easier to recognize that each wedge was made up of two enemy-color combinations.

Erik's playtesting showed that it helped enough that he talked about it with Del Laugel, Magic's lead editor, and she agreed to the change.

    That should clear it up.

Anafenza the Foremost seems to be the card name (it was in the image description).

    Templating should be:

Whenever ~ attacks, put a +1 counter on another target tapped creature.
If a creature card will be put into an opponent's graveyard from anywhere, exile it instead.

I think at the end of the day, it's how much you value your time. Decks may take longer to sell but it's less time investment on your part for listing/packaging/shipping etc.

I'm guessing the demand on those two sites is enough for them to push the price up to $12. So it may be an indication of things to come. Or they just needed to raise buy prices to sustain stock, and it'll go back down eventually.

Yeah, spring was outstanding for the overall quality of shows. Almost everything was watchable. July looks pretty slow, so it may be a good time to watch older stuff or something.

If you feel like it, why not?

I think Ping Pong might actually be by far the best show for me this season. Especially Weng Ge...

Which reminds me, I need to catch up on last week's Mushishi.

I think I know a dealer in NZ who will be interested in buying the foil delta, except he's going to be in GP Nagoya. Trademe will be a good place to gauge interest.

Karakas is now seeing much more play than drain (not being banned in legacy helps), so I'm not really surprised.

Well, they're not even up to the finals in the manga, so any more material isn't going to be animated for quite a while.

Saki = Vintage landstill. You think you're playing mahjong, but you're actually not.
