How is a control deck supposed to beat that? Like seriously?

    Here's mine

    ---------------
Discard two cards: Each opponent discards a card.
Sacrifice two creatures: Each opponent sacrifices one creature.
Pay two life: Each opponent loses one life.

Activate only when you could cast a sorcery.

Could also have any combination of permanent types on it in the same vein.
    ------------

Perhaps instead of trying to define Villain you should change it to Antagonist(s), which is a lot clearer story-wise and still encompasses most of the main "bad guys".

I thought general was an ok place to post, if it gets moved its fine.
about the meta, I thought the "meta" was situational depending on where you are, but it seems this site posts these top 8 decks from all over the world. (?)

With Junk Rites currently occupying the spot of "Best Deck" you can be sure that, regardless of where you play, there's a good chance you might have to face it. Ground Seal is included in these lists to improve the game 1 matchup vs Junk Rites3 without compromising any other game 1 matchups, as the card effectively cycles for 2 in those matches.

i'm so confused how this could have hurt her.

the actress joke was and inside friends joke, I assumed no one would understand it other than the group of friends.

Because to most everyone the flyer reads like you're just openly mocking her.

If you want to keep one deck and just update it from cards from the new set on the cheap (without it ever becoming entirely redundant) you should probably resign yourself to picking up the pieces for monored and sticking with it. It's usually a pretty fair choice.

Hmm I've been using Jarad that way for my group and no one has said otherwise about it.

Jarad does not even deal noncombat damage with any of his abilities... :>

the gradual buildup of acquiring cards for your pile is a supremely enjoyable part of the format that heavy proxying tarnishes.

As someone who has proxied cards ranging from 0.01c commons to Tropical Islands I don't feel proxies diminish this feeling at all. It still feels great to rip a proxy from your deck and replace it with a real trop, let me tell you.

A and B, but throwing people like the OP completely off their game as in C is just gravy on the top.

It's also something to do while you wait for your opponent to make up their mind on a long decision.

    Quote from Tackman

For those who don't know, Ruric Thar is a Gruul two-headed giant that appears in the two RTR novels. In both, he helps Jace (albeit in very Gruul fashion.) In the first one, he is also referred to by Jace as a "champion of the Gruul." In the second novel, we learn that magic has no power over him, and simply bounces off of him, probably hinting at Hexproof or something.

Cheers, I obviously haven't read the novels yet Thumbs Up

Because, quite frankly, having your lynchpin card (usually the general in a lot of cases) die sucks a whole lot. It's why I switched to Maelstrom Wanderer goodstuff.dec.
