I was discussing the combo with someone, and we were weighing the option of Vision Charm over Brain Freeze. The Brain Freeze supporter mentioned that Brain Freeze has Storm, which is superior, but I countered that Storm doesn't trigger off of being on the Stick. However, I can't seem to figure out if that's true or not.
I'm not sure if that's a scary thing or not, now that you mention it.
A Beacon-Disintegrate isn't terribly interesting though. The Lorwyn and Alara block incarnations of the X-burn rare were far more interesting than this.
Funny that, nearly everyone I know loves Zendikar limited.
About two weeks of Zedikar limited made me quit playing limited until Rise.
Anyways, I really dobut that Design has two sets waiting for the third set in Scars block. I don't recall Mirrodin Pure being trademarked, but I do remember New Phyrexia was. It's just publicity in the same way that Coldcnap was advertised as a 'lost set'.
Some stores may charge extra for them, like Dream Wizards (where I got the image from.)
Oh wow, another reason to completely loathe and despise Dream Wizards?
They look neat, no doubt, it'd bea neat freebie. But how much more would someone charge for this than a generic white long box that most shops charge a dollar fifty for?
Not bad as an EDH or Reanimator card. Nova Wurm and the Elephant as better REanimator targets, but part of what makes the deck fun is tossing out big fatties with abilities like that.
I'm legally obligated to build the Kraken/Octopus/Leviathan deck I've been putting off since forever now.
At least the idea, while seeming like a ploy to steal something else from another game, is not the worst thing they've announced this month. The DotP decks, in thier vaguery, still sound less likely to sell than this.
I'm not too worried about the decks not being able to work well with other decks. It didn't seem like too much of a problem with Planechase. What would bother me more would be if these were just one-sided planes and board sweepers, as well as the fact that recapturing the feeling of that one jerk at your store that came to 8-man free-for-alls with Stasis Lock probably isn't what Thier Market Research really wants to happen.
If these are the decks from the game, then this sounds about as much of a winning idea as the gravity packs were. If they're actually decks with planeswalkers in them, then I guess sort of want? The decklists would determine whether or not I say to players: "Why did you buy this?" to "Please don't buy that."

Was this ever the case?
"By the way, take one poison."
Or, in a pinch, it's kinda like Quicksand or something.
I love this card. And I will love having an even more efficient way of hearing people whine about losing to poison counters.
Yeah, I totally tl;dr'd.
I looked at the card and decided, "this must only be relevant to limited players" and went to read the other article.
I... don't apologize for it.
I hate when they waste previews on limited fodder.
Artifact EDH has a new card for zaniness.
Bonehoard is a good multiplayer card... and another reason that Graveyard hate is EDH utility.
