I'm completely fine with people beating the hell out of this deck. The more parity, the less likelihood of a kneejerk banning. So, keep up the hate people.

That said, I do feel like the deck is easily hamstrung. 8 actual wincons, 4 mediocre backups. The Surgical argument is real IMO, honestly two well placed spells and the deck gets washed. Which kind of makes me want to consider Relic over Spellbomb. You can always target yourself to respond to Surgicals with it, but the blowout effect obviously nonbos with Goyf. Unless I'm thinking about this the wrong way and there's an easier solution.

How would you feel about 3 TBR / 2 BI split? 4 TBR seems rough with 8 creatures who can't really benefit from it (Elf and Swiftspear).

Have you ever cast Rampager as a creature? Is it even worth considering?

Also why Gut Shot over Dismember? I feel like Dismember is much more applicable across the meta. It also picks up the life loss slack that Probe left behind.

Why Flayers in the SB? When do they come in ?

Really like the prospect of playing basic lands.

Played this deck for the first time at FNM last night. No playtesting, no goldfishing, just going for it.
Finished 2-2, broke even with prize.

Round 1: 2-0 Young kid playing Tron. Game 1 I got down a very early Zombie Infestation and proceeded to GQ lock him out of colorless mana. Beautiful. Game 2 was a mess of Zombies and Spirits, had him to very low life when he played Ulamog, exiled my infestation and Ghast, Spirit beatdowns for another turn. He didn't swing with Ula because his life was so low, played Wurmcoil and passed. Spirits over the top followed by Conflagrate.

Round 2: 0-2 Affinity. Guy plays the deck frequently, usually finishes top 4. Needless to say, this was rough and I was unprepared. Game 1 was a blur, and i botched Game 2 so hard. I played fetch, pass. He played Memnite, then Ravager. Because I suck at this game, I didn't Darkblast the Memnite while Ravager was on the stack. This I feel cost me the game. Not worth going into further.

Round 3: 0-2 UW Helldrazi. What a degenerate pile of cards. It's really difficult to stock up for a Conflagrate when you have to make multiple zombies per turn just to survive to midgame. Killing TKS with Pharaoh trigger is amazing, especially with Loam in the yard. I think this match highlighted for me that it isn't always necessary to dredge dredge dredge when the board is not in your favor. Also, Drowner of Hope is very intimidating when your only answer to it is a Souls on flashback.

Round 4: 2-1 Naya something. Game 1 was another blur of zombie tokens. Game 2 he trumped me with a Scooze. GOD that card butchers dredge. Game 3 was a very epic grind-out where he had Huntmasters flipping, wolves pooping out, etc. He slammed RIP which I thought was game over, but I had spent the previous turns setting up Godless Shrine + Vault of the Archangel. I will happily throw 2 cards into exile to make a 2/2 DT LL zombie. Also had souls going over the top. Got him to 2 life, then Conflagrate closed it.

Wow what a fun deck. I still find it very skill-intensive to know when to dredge and when not to, especially when you desperately need a Ray of Revelation but dumping it into the yard is useless when RIP is out. Weird.
I love love love turning Squees into zombies.

This isn't really a dredge deck, and losing a bulk of 5 cards without filtering through them a la Faithless seems bad to me. T2 Angler seems strong up front, but that means we didn't use discard on T1, meaning our opponent probably has a removal spell in hand, which puts us out several cards for a play that didn't advance the game.
I want to ensure that my opponent's hand is anemic as **** before I drop a win condition on the table.

Folks, I think one of our Tron SB answers is right under our noses: Appetite for Brains. Puts Karn/Ugin/Wurmcoil directly into Processing zone.

In the right deck I can see Displacer doing serious work, but for 6 mana I'd rather be casting a Sower. It matters much less with the banning of Twin, but it could provide some hilarity against Wurmcoils. Might be SB suitable .

Has Spellskite gotten worse now that twin is history? Is 1 copy enough for the odd infect/bogles MU?

If you think the opponent is holding GY hate in hand, Raven's Crime really helps empty it. If they land a RIP, you have no choice but to Decay/Ray/Charm it. Gets even harder with Leyline. This is when TS/Duress comes in handy. Don't overextend until you know they aren't going to blow you out of the game.

8 Rack effects without Liliana is honestly not viable. Necrogen Mists will help, but this deck hinges on its ability to keep the opponent's hand empty while controlling the board. Liliana is simply irreplaceable. I would definitely save up for those before worrying about Obliterators. I only run 3 in my deck and I feel like it's enough. I'd also recommend using Pucatrade and Card Kingdom to get them in the shortest time possible.

Alternatively, you can check out EpeeEm's list at the top of this page. They only play 2 Lili in the board as the main deck gets to abuse Smallpox. Definitely more budget friendly.

Hey folks, just wanted to share a little bit of wisdom for those of you working within a budget: Card Kingdom!
I scoured my collection for unwanted bulk rares and uncommons, and in doing so I've drummed up enough store credit to buy Blood Moons and finish out the manabase for this deck. So stoked! Highly recommended if you aren't excited about laying down big bills to jump into this archetype.
On a related note, I'm up to 3 Dark Confidants (trading on PucaTrade); this deck will be finished within a few weeks Grin

edit: I noticed on an earlier page that someone suggested using Rise/Fall for the pseudo-Hymn effect. Is this card included in anyone's SB? I can easily see it performing better than Wrench Mind against Affinity

    These people are either:
    1. oblivious to their own appearance, or
    2. don't care whatsoever about their appearance.
If 1, then this might be a wake-up call.
If 2, then who gives half a *****?

Self-awareness, people. If you look like frumpy hell, you're going to catch attention. Maybe we should take a good look at ourselves and decide if that shoe fits.

Also, no reasonable expectation of privacy in a public place.
