I think my current Boros rankings probably go:

It's hard to tell where Aurelia's Fury will fall. It seems like it could definitely be awesome, but might be pretty weak because of it's CMC. Five mana to do three damage is not that awesome, but tapping is. It's definitely a mid-to-late game card and I'm not super excited to be adding that to Boros.

I like Boros Charm, but I don't think it's great. I'm not really excited about any of the modes, but they are all very versatile and useful which means it'll prove better than I assume.

Helix is definitely better than this. This is on-par with Stronghold.

Good card, I'm definitely playing it.

I don't know how I feel about Aurelia's Fury yet in terms of rankings. Luckily I can play both because 720 is awesome.

I would only play Rakdos Charm for artifact removal if I absolutely needed it, and if I'm in red chances are I won't. That card is pretty much the epitome of a mediocre card that is terrible in cube.

I guess I'm the only one that thinks the extort bear could be a 360 staple, then?

Probably not a staple, but I think I would include him at 360 personally. Maybe not, gold section is very tight at small cube sizes.

Frontline Medic is the real deal though, he's a definite 450 staple and probably really good at 360 too.

Six mana for a guy and a way to draw a bunch of cards isn't bad, but I don't know if this is what I'm looking for in blue/green, where I have access to both of those abilities in their respective colors.

I like that it can work with Erratic Portal / Crystal Shard and you can abuse blink with it (although that's more of a white mechanic). Still not exactly sure if this is what I'm looking for at 720, but time will tell.

Good card is good. Probably good enough for 360, definitely in at 450 and above. This mechanic finally gets some cube action.

I guess Jitte is pretty powerful. How does it compare to fast mana cards like Sol Ring and Mana Vault? How does it compared to P9 cards?

Sol Ring and Jitte are the most powerful cards in the cube for me and I go back and forth on which one I like more. In my 360, I thought Jitte was much better but at 720 when everything is a bit slower, Sol Ring might have a slight edge.

Jitte is just so strong and turn you draw it, it's a giant blowout to draw it on turn 4 and put it on your three drop, whereas Sol Ring might not always be that insane if it's not in your opener - but when it is it's pretty difficult to lose being two turns ahead.

Extort bear looks about on part with Lone Missionary - it's more aggressive because it hurts your opponent. I actually might like it more than Lone Missionary. Extra point of toughness is nice too.

Unblockable prored 5/5 that is very good on defense.

Yeah, unblockable 5/5 pro-red Moat is a more accurate description.

You know, or we could just say it's a Phyrexian Obliterator.

I think those five are the undisputed best cards in cube. The next tier has stuff like Mana Drain, Time Walk, Elspeth 1.0, Wurmcoil Engine, Balance, Sulfuric Vortex, etc.

But it wins the game for 7 mana, which is what I want to be doing in my WB mid-range and control decks. I can't think of a single instance off-hand where I've actually lost a game with a kicked Desolation Angel. I mean, it must have happened at least once, but I can't remember. And I've been cubing it for 5+ years now.

There are plenty of times where you cast things other than the Desolation Angel in your hand when you have seven mana because you need a disenchant for their Sword of Light and Shadow, or need life gain for some reason etc where Desolation Angel won't win you the game.

And I've kicked a desolation angel and still lost before. It's a card that cements the game for you once you have a leading position (and helps you to get in that position). It's a better armageddon but with a price of three mana more. If you don't have a leading position after you cast the angel, you're not going to cast it.

I've lost very few games when I've cast armageddon, but if I'm not winning I'm not going to cast armageddon and I'll die with it taking up a card in my hand.

I don't think it's as good as you think it is, but you've already established that it's one of your pet cards, and I don't think there's anything wrong with playing with cards you enjoy, especially when they are good cards.

I don't think I'd play either in 360. Triskelion is close, but I think with all the recent additions he's on the outside looking in. Duplicant is more of a 500+ card IMHO.

OK. Then I understand. Thanks. I got confused by the two different statements. Your 360 cube was always a useful list to compare with (similar design philosophies and same size).

Yeah, I haven't updated it in a long time. The 720 list is still getting set in stone for the most part, we change it every time we play so it's hard to figure out what's in and out and my friend has it atm, so I can't even type up what's in it.

Sure about that? I love all the playable one drops. And captive is only in my cube bc he is ok if not flipped. On the other hand, Reckless Waif is bad when not flipped, so I left it out from my list. Here you say the werewolf one drop flips all the time. In your cube thread (talking about reckless waif) you say pretty much the opposite.

That was at 360, we're at 720 now and it this and Reckless Waif flip much more often (less one drops overall).
