Is anyone still playing GB? Played in a PPTQ today, lost to Titanshift in both swiss and quarters. I played 3/1 GQ/Tec edge split with just a single surgical in the SB. Might try 4 Tec edge and 2 Surgicals, though I suspect the matchup is just bad regardless.
Based my list off of Hatto's from the GP, but I had to add more ways to shore up the burn matchup.
Beat 2 burn decks, 1 Affinity, lost a close 3rd game to the other Affinity player who had a turn 1 Seer. I wish there was some kind of catch-all terminate like spell. Go for the Throat looked bad for me tonight
I really like his list actually. Though I wonder how the deck does against Etron without paths.
6 mana sorcery is absolutely atrocious rate in modern if you don't hit 2 walkers over 80-85% of the time. Card was obviously designed for Standard/EDH.
Hi guys, a few weeks ago i asked for a mono green list since i'm on budget, i bought it and finally started modern, still getting used to the deck and the format. But ever since the beginning i wanted to make it ug, still do, and would like to know where to begin the increments, i have been thinking about noble hierarch, but there are also the fetch lands and today, after playing on the store i go, i thought about start by getting 2 spellskite for the sideboard. what do you guys think that i should prioritize on upgrading first?
I would be able to buy 2 spellskite or a set of one of green khan fetchs righ now, in a few weeks probably will have the money to get the hierarch set, or get 2 spellskite and one set of fetchs. 2 spellskites would be enough?
Don't worry about Spellskites, it's not a must. I'd try to get the following in this order.
8 Green fetches from Khans (4 Heath, 4 Woodhills)
2 Breeding Pool
4 Blighted Agent
4 Gitaxian Probe
3-4 Become Immense (Deck is playable at this point, but far from optimal)
4 Noble Hierarchs
Then finish off with icing like 1-2 Skites, 3-4 Finks etc.
The other route you can take is to get the 4 Hierarchs first and keep it mono G initially. Then slowly getting the fetches and turn it into UG.

I still think you want at least a couple Skites for the mirror. Even though your opponent is bringing in more hate (Claims/Dismembers/Image), it means that your actual threats (Hierarch, Inkmoths, Infect creatures) are more likely to stick. One downside is the tempo loss when they spend one mana to kill your two mana card, so I'd be more wary if I was on the draw (You could, for example, play the first dispel over the third Skite). Another point is that Infect doesn't really have the ability to quickly go through its library. If you stick an early Skite and your opponent doesn't have the answer in hand, you'll have free rein to do whatever you want.
Regarding Skites vs Jund/Jeskai, I personally side out all of my Skites against them. Reason being that you don't really want the games to go long. Your advantage is that in the early game, you have the ability to cast multiple spells per turn while they're still constrained on mana. As a result, I'd much rather have things like Dispel and Spell Pierce as protection.
With the way current metagame is shaping up though, I probably wouldn't play more than 1-2 in my 75.
Scapeshift (RUGx) is definitely interactive. Are you saying Twin was an non-interactive deck when it was in the format? By that definition, the only interactive deck would be Jund and Grixis.
Yeah, I mean that's just the nature of the format. You have the proactive decks (going under/over), then you have the random control decks that does well if they happen to show up with the right answers to the right matchups.

What do you already have?
Beating out Affinity x2, Nahiri and Jund on their way to the finals.

GPCHA results are less reliable and probably less likely to represent a meta snapshot. GPLA is interesting though.
-Even though Company had the largest % of day 2 decks, only 2 of the 13 made top 32. People definitely came prepared for it.
-Jeskai Nahiri underperformed. It could be due to the amount of hate present, or the deck just isn't optimised yet.
-Dredge sucks, just as Lee explained.
The deck that stood out to me was Bant Eldrazi, it looked sweeeeet.
