Seer is all about discard. You play enough discard, the likelyhood of one of your two cards negating his negative effect becomes much higher. He should be a MBC tool only he is not
Why would the Thrull say "nonland"? The only land I can find that would be threatening is Glacial Chasm. Dark Depths would be way slow and to deny enemy storage lands and gemstone lands seems like cute interaction.
Otherwise big fan of him and every other card spoiled today, except for you, Leyline Phantom! Screw you for being frakking useless with a pretty cool name!
Well at least he is a good evolve enabler.
I was like "meh", until I reached the third ability. Damn thats some nice mill mixed with a probably wasted draw. The other two options really are just gravy.
Ravnica with the Guildpact is basically an utopia in my eyes, everyone could find his niche to live and a never-ending city with a working ecosystem is what earth should look like if all works out and we stop screwing stuff up with mass destructive behavior. The story in the books didn't really grasp me, but it is definitely my first choice.
Kamigawa had an awesome storyline, a great civilization in white, great cults in green, great barbarians/demon-cultists in red, great criminal organisations in black as well as a great superior/snobbish society and magical community in blue. In any case it would hardly be bad to live there.
Mercadia sounds ok but the only time we got to know it, the Phyrexians kind of infiltrated it, so it's hard to judge.
Dominaria is way to fleshed out and diverse to judge, but would be another good choice at some times and really bad at others. I haven't read it all so it's hard to say how it measures up.
Dislike Lorwyn and Zendikar for some reason, would rather not go there.
Mistmeadow Witch seems strictly better than this new blink guy because Witch doesn't tap, and still costs the same four to use. Other than that, I like Silverheart, and that Angel is going to be dumb as an uncommon in Limited.
Please learn the meaning of strictly? In the context of this set and its limited environment this is extremely untrue. You will always want to switch around your soulbound pairs in response to attackers being declared.
I hate it, they took most of the fun out of it. I can't see how being dripped information via the mothership-IV is in any way a satisfactory experience...
Previously the community got to unroll it at a ever-changing pace and it was a thrilling ride with interactivity and surprises. Now everything is predictable and boring, the only surprises are the cards themselves.
I see Wizards strategy now though, it is obvious that Captain Error 118 is a way better minigame than riddles by rumormongers like Captain Black etc...
I am really stoked now.
Do I understand the Lich right in that it interacts with Death Cultist as: X:Gain X life. Target player loses X life. Pay only black mana for X.
Because the way it is formulated in the article ("Death Cultist, for example, becomes 1B: drain 1 life from target player") makes it seem as though I would have to pay the 1 each time I intend to cast the same creature card in the same turn.

Easy.
It is the element of void stalking!
