The End of an Era

    New answers! Yay!
Just a quick note about two of the questions:
The one about February 30th is a little more complex than I originally thought… I will have to research it and get back to you on it. Until I do, it is officially on hiatus. And the questions about tortoises, turtles, and terrapins was almost answered correctly, just not quite. So the correct answer will be very similar to one already offered.
Also, another thing: It’s getting a little complex to add the incorrect answers, so forget the seven wrong answer bonus points. If I get less lazy in the future, I’ll revive it.
    On to the points.
extreme icon got number 78 right (although he was missing Japanese; I should have specified “three”), 80, 82 and 83 right. That’s a whopping 4 points right there.
    Museli got number 76 right.
I like Jobie’s answer to 78, so I’ll give him a point. He also gets 81, and 82, to put his total to 3 points.
I’ll update the questions later today - I’m tired right now.

Sorryguy, don't worry about the points being docked... just make sure that you don't include 6 pages of extraneous material...
    Anyways, on to the answers.
I feel a little sheepish, but it appears as though I have to look further into the February 30th question; there are many answers, it seems.

Hey everyone... sorry about the long break
I had an ... eventful day, shall we say...
Anyways, let's see who got answers right:
Just a quick comment first, to SorryGuy, but for everyone: It's alright if you copy the question along with the answer, but please try not to include extraneous questions, i.e. those you don't answer.
SorryGuy got questions 46 and 52 (although the formal answer is "because 789", but I'll let it slide...) right.
extremeicon answered 'B' as well for number 40, and, since today's wednesday, the right answer is... B. extremeicon and AlphaInsidious each get 1/2 point, while SorryGuy loses 1/2 point (I want you to note my restraint in this parenthetical comment from not saying something we'd all regret) (that being "sorry, guy") (the fact that I just told you what it was invalidates the previous parenthetical comment, meaning that, in fact, I have no restraint).
In addition to number 40, extremeicon also got numbers 47, 48, 51, 54, and 55 right.
49 wasn't quite right, according to the reader.
Fadeblue makes a good point, so he gets one, and the last time February 30th occurred was not 1931 or 1712. It was much, much earlier.

    -----------------
    extremeicon - 24.5
    Mr Bloody Minded - 4
Kyu the Holy Knight - 4

New rule: When a question gets more than 7 wrong answers, the point value doubles. The next 7 double it as well, and on and on FOREVER! Open-ended questions don't count.

I’ll give Mr Bloody Minded the size of a pool ball (the actual thing says the size of a baseball, but it’s close enough).

    extremeicon got parsley! Yay.

FINALLY pli2100hours gets the disease question! It was doubled, so he gets 2 points.

Oh, and one more thing. There's a new type of question: the multiple choice. Everyone who answers correctly will get a fraction of a point (1/2, 1/3, etc. depending on how many choices there were), but everyone who answers wrong will lose this point. Ok?

I'm liking these open-ended questions... I'll let them run for 4 days, then pick the best answer, and they'll get three (3) points. Actually, I'm thinking that I'll award points for different things, like best answer, funniest answer, etc, and see where that takes me.
    Anyways, on to the scores.
Kyu the Holy Knight got questions 14 and 21 right.
SorryGuy, despite posting answers to 8 questions, unfortunately did not get a single question right (unless the smell of America is, in fact, feet).
    ChromeMoxen - ...balls?
AlphaInsidious got 24 right. I'm going to ignore the democracy, for now.
