I only won by getting two Frost Titans down. Generally, they need two Primeval triggers to screw you, I've found, and being able to hold off one of those can make the difference. Everybody loves Wurmcoil Engine too (myself included). Oh, and being able to tap down an opposing Frost Titan is priceless and playing green means you'll be on the giving side of that more often. In this next couple of months we have of being beaten down by mythic 6/6s, the anti-6/6 is definitely one of the top 3 reasons to play blue IMO. -

Sweet decklist, might I recommend maindecking that Frost Titan though? It's really something you want to see game 1 against Primeval. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
Also, I'm surprised nobody has suggested Mizzium Mortars as a way to get around Frostburn Weird. It's also good against other things with big butts, and you get potential for a Magical Christmasland in overloading it. Granted, it's not an instant and it doesn't go to the dome, but it will remove a Frostburn Weird by itself. In a deck with 27 creatures, it seems like you'll be using your burn spells as removal more often than not.
Did I prove myself wrong, really? All I said was that having good cards as rares, not all good cards but some, is good for the game. Considering the explosion in the game's popularity since Alara block, I'd say Wizards' sales figures prove you wrong.
It was not always the case? Then why was Ancestral Recall made into a rare while the rest of the Alpha boons were common? Rare equaling better in some instances is a fundamental part of the collectible card game genre. That doesn't mean common can't be good in some instances and rare can't be bad in some instances. It's all just the nature of the genre and if you don't feel like ensuring the future of the game is preferable to catering to whims and crashing the market, then you should probably find something else to play. There's a lot of gaming alternatives to Magic.
I'd say it's about as Modern playable as Thundermaw Hellkite. It makes up for being slightly smaller with pro-white and monstrosity, which both makes it a much more sizable threat and hates on Revelation.
Keep in mind that video recording technology wasn't in everybody's pockets.
I've never personally encountered or met anybody who's encountered such a phenomenon, but the fact that this thread contains so many accounts of different incidents, but I know it happens. How else did we get Rootborn Defenses in a 2013 pack? The closest I've ever gotten to anything like this was a foil Mirran Crusader and a regular Mirran Crusader in the same pack.
A former friend of mine "acquired" two M11 packs from Wal-Mart once. Two Baneslayer Angels. I've opened mostly crap from the packs I've impulse-bought at the Walgreen's next to my work, but I did open two Godless Shrines, and one of the packs that had one (it was DGM) also had a Ral Zarek.
Chances are Jace's deck will either be monoblue or white/blue.
On another note, I don't mind the new Jace art. It's Jace, Park Walker. What's not to love?
The spell has only one target though, so it can still only hit one thing. That being said, I still don't think they'd print this card, as it's strictly better than Harm's Way. Maybe at rare?
As far as a properly-costed lifegaining spell goes, as long as mill, infect, and/or combos are a thing, don't expect to find one any time soon.
You clearly have little idea of how this game works if you can't comprehend the meaning of my statement. Bestow cards' time probably won't come until RtR block rotates out and we're left with a slower environment.
