Maybe it's different for art students, but skipping class is the one thing I pretty much never did. Professors are the one thing universities provide that you'll never get another opportunity to get, and good professors often the lectures are quite interesting.
And then you come to Uni and all the arts students skip class and go drinking.
Two wierd things today. First I drive past a cornershop called Elspeth's, then I see a place called Supercube (only to realize it was a nightclub, upon which I almost cried...).
I think twisted image should be picked a lot earlier than it is. The very worst case scenario is that it cycles for U as long as a creature is on the board. And that's just ok in itself.
However, the more you play with it, the more it tends to act like removal/combat trick/extra damage/damage prevention, and I just love it. Comboes with all creatures that have a high toughness/low power, (as long as the power isn't 0) and does lots of funny stuff.
Then again, any blue card might come late because of the tendency to shy away from blue that a lot of players have. I find this has been especially prevalent on MTGO for BSS drafts. U/x skies has won me a lot of games, though.
Pick up some myr, some Vulshok heartstokers are ok and always late, some occasional splashy fliers or removal (go black if you see late fume spitters, they are awesome) and you should be set.
As much as I would love to go "all in", it just doesn't work. There aren't enough cards, and UN-cards need to be mixed with real magic cards, anyways. I would just have to construct the Cube in such a way that the UN-cards were the starts, the "bombs", and whatever real magic cards were in there were just support.
What about just drafting it differently? This is probably not an ideal system, but something like drafting 3 un boosters of 15 cards and then a support booster of 7 cards or somethign like that...
And Arabian Night Mountains. Would it really be an uncube if you had a lot of misprints in, though? That's more of a misprint cube
You could try to make something wierd by adding lots of funny interactions that isn't normally played in "serious" cubes, such as combos that draw the game or lots of awkward ways to win (I-win cards and mill could be fun in a cube?)
The problem is actually MtGO's Terms of Service, which require users to be 13. Bad luck Sene! (PS. Six year olds don't read fast enough to draft on a timer.)
You just ruined my imaginary scenario of a father yelling "WHAT'S THE PICK?! WHAT'S THE PICK?!" at his kids and getting completely outraged if they choose wrong.
This happens a lot more in Legacy, especially when I'm playing White Stax. A turn one Ghostly Prison/Trinisphere/Chalice of the Void usually gets a ragequit (Ghostly prison only relevant for dredge).
And yes, EDH is singleton (or Highlander, thus the name "Elder Dragon Highlander")
I mean normal tournament-style mulligans. Like you start with 7, if you mull you get 6 etc.
