I think that pm'ing me so that I dont forget (which im liable to do sometimes) would be best.

Also, anyone have any issue with a draft time of 8pm US Eastern Time on the 29th?

On a side note, im considering one more change that I've been convinced about for a little while now: Fractional D/ST scoring. If memory serves, its around 1 point on average off standard scoring, but is more representitive of how well the D/ST and not on how 99 yards is X points and 100 yards is X-2 automatically. Here is a link to what it would look like (only look at D/ST): https://i.imgur.com/GszjJfE.png

So, unless I suck at math (Im not a Steelers fan, so thats less likely), that should be 8. I still want 10, but 8 can work.... just means more concentrated goodness.

So far its: .5 ppr and no QB Flex (WR/TE/RB are still options). Sound good to everyone or anymore things you wanna ask? I was always planning on drafting the last weekend of August so that we get the perverbial preseason injuries known.

    Known People in:
    1. Koopa
    2. Macius
    3. Digi
    4. Charm
    5. Arcadic
    6. Qtip
    7. Raz Runi
    8. (Someone is here, according to my last known conversation with the person, but not on MTGS)

Planning on drafting on the 29th.

.5 ppr just means that pass-catching backs get bumped up a little bit. So someone like a Reggie Bush or Forsett will be a little better. I see it as a way of making sure that just because you have a back on a pass oriented team, that you can still play them and know that they will contribute more points. At the same time, its not 1 ppr, which I have found to warp the scoring a little too much.

Apologies for the double post, but currently we have 6 people with a potential for 7 or 8. Ideally, we are looking for 2 more no matter what for the league.

That makes you #5 then. Need 5 more hopefully.

It also allows some mitigation of bad luck. Yes, if you lose Brady/Peyton/Big Ben/Luck for the season/a few weeks, you at least have a chance at a somewhat decent QB, so you arent necessarily starting a D-tier QB.

Anyone up for fantasy football? We have 4, need 6 more at least. I know the odds are small, but still wanna try,

Assuming this does happen, PPR? Im thinking .5 was a nice compromise as it allows some players to be better without making it completely focused on highly targetted guys (As in low YPC, high REC guys).

Well, thats a tenetive 4 people down. Want at least a 10 man league as I find that number to be a nice balance between value on the wire and yet still having to make tough choices.

Also, if we do this, im considering doing a Non-QB flex slot. This does however seem to make WR/RB a little bit more stretched. Thoughts?

I doubt this may work, but is there any interest in doing a league this year? I so far have myself and one other person and im willing to host the league. I really want to do this as FF is still fun to me....

Jivan, isnt collusion and persuading people you arent a threat pretty much what we embody? Why fight with big dumb craw wurms when a Bird, a lovecraftian meets lady gaga monster, a polar bear sphere, a teeter todder and some frozen stuff can leave your opponents unable to move as your scheme comes to fruition. I enjoy making you sit there for 3 hours as I kill you with a mana elf.

What are your thoughts on the new Cultivate? Its odd in that in most cases its better, but with the number of land tutors, we'd rather seem to want to keep the lands in our deck. On the other hand, it does ensure land drops and if we see it, it can mean that we can keep slightly more land light hands to ensure we have land drops to make.

Jivan, I decided to cut loose and really turn the burners to 11 on playing edh. Screw "fun" and screw all that jazz... I have at the same time learned the Derevi is considered powerful for good reason. I turned an 8 man pod into literal puppets in 5 turns. Stasis+ lock with Derevi out pretty much ended it. It was fun. No need to hastily probe someones mind when they are bound up tight. You can enjoy the draining....

Looks like white lion may potentially be under a new name or it may be "different company, same people." I dont know, but considering the history with them, it may be potentially worth it to keep an eye on this thread: http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/market-street/market-street-cafe/store-discussion/610202-crimson-hobbies-white-lion-games

Its a shade of grey thing. By the opening post, you should of honored it even still. However, reality tells us to compare a store thats on this list with one that constantly gets good reviews (I'll use SCG since they are the big fish). Yes, we all hear about how expensive they are. On the flip side, they are very harsh on their card grades (some MP are closer to NM) and they will work quickly to solve issues.

Thats really what this list is about or how I see it. Its easy to lump it under cancelling orders, but a more umbrella term is "What stores take advantage of their customers." Its why the store that gave away PT info is on the list. They valued one guy over multiple customers. Others valued getting extra currency over customers.

politely disagree with your argument because there is a system in place to prevent oversells but it's not perfect and as the system is being overloaded with the amount of orders and the potential for issues goes up drastically. Crystalcommerce had a huge issue this banlist update which caused a ton of stores to oversell. I really wish we could afford a new custom site but to do a site with a back-end that is comparable to what we have now would easily cost over $200k and I just don't have that much money sitting aside to invest. Of course I hope that changes one day. We may just take all of our inventory down next time instead.

I think that this quote also illustrates a counter-point. That being that the systems arent perfect. Only select few stores have the capital to spend 200k or even 100k on a website, so they have to use a system that takes time to update and change. The first way stores can prevent the issue brought up here is to pull all inventory from all sites, and we all know how impractical that really is to even consider.

I guess what im saying/rambling on about is that I see it coming down to this simple thing: Honest Mistakes happen. This thread is to ensure people know if something is an honest mistake or if its down out of spiteful greed or the like.

I also probably shouldnt be writing this half-asleep, so take from this what you will.
