While testing a deck on MWSOnline I ran across a guy using Myr Welder's ability while exiling Khalni Gem and Soliton. He claimed that this is an infinite mana combo capable of producing "1000 blue." My argument against it was that Soliton's ability does not state explicitly "Pay 1 Blue: Untap this creature" but says "Pay 1 Blue: Untap Soliton." So the Welder has "Pay 1 Blue: Untap Soliton."
I searched on this forum for specific answers with an exact rules link; however, no hard evidence was stated for either case.
Is this a legal infinite mana combo and can you link to rules verifying or denying it?
I'm confused... People are mentioning MTGO cards are so much cheaer than paper cards;however, a quick comparison between Cardbotmtgo.com and Trollandtoad.com yields little difference at all...
I think GSZ should replace either 2 cultivates or 2 AiD (AiD moved to SB). This would allow you to search for whatever you might need during a particular match. Jace out? Search for Terastrodon. PLenty of mana but no eldrazi? Search for primeval titan, grab the eye, boom. Aggro tearing the board up? Search for Avenger of Zendikar...
I agree that GSZ should not replace summoning trap. Its murder against control and trapping into an Eldrazi turn 4-5 is devastating for the opponent.
Ya I have 3 AiD and 2 Wurmcoil in MD.
I thought Hellkite would be good against aggro since its basically another ratchet bomb.
What would you recommend I replace it with?
Also I see tons of people with Terastodon in their MD or SB. WHat is the reasoning behind this card?

1 Steel Hellkite
Any ideas or suggestions?
