I can't find these color of sleeves at my local store, I've lost/damaged quite a few of these over the years, but I just can't get enough of how nice they look these matte green sleeves.
Does anyone know which sleeves these could be? I've tried all the green colors of Dragon Shields I can find and none of them are that close.
Here are two other green Dragon Shields I've purchased and you can see they don't match up. https://imgur.com/a/c5omZWj
So while I was joking around with a friend after he asked if I had Pack Rat to trade, I said Rat Cruise Modern Control.....
and here is the deck I came up with
I think its sweet and could be the next deck to take down the Pro-Tour
This is ultimately what the deck turned into, took your suggestion and added the rabble,
over the 2 days of Game Day the omenspeakers dealt a combined 20 points of damage over 16 individual games
@Godeku Hydra Broodmother was in the first iteration that was G/W but i found that it was just a little too far out of range to be useful, it got cut for the Nessian Wild Ravager instead. But it isn't moving too far from the deck, i plan on holding it in the maybe board just incase
@Godeku the Thoughtseize is more a turn 2 in this deck or even a turn three, and the hero's downfall is more for xenegos, the reveler removal or in a pinch removal, the retribution of the ancients is the more reliable removal really, and the Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth makes black worries fade away (if drawn, lol)
@Brimaz the Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx just got cut during test the other night, the bigger hydras that it was producing was really only a result of a net 2 mana, where as the 1 more forest and inclusion of Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth made the flow so much nicer
@koerslight thanks, the retribution is at 2 because drawing multiple of them is very risky, the hero's downfall like mentioned previously is mainly on pw duty
i tried the Genesis Hydra in the first iteration and it wasn't terribly awesome without the devotion package as the hydras i was revealing were either X or 6 costed. The Scourge of Skola Vale was also just cut last week during testing, as the tap down of it made it slightly akward when it came time to attack, but it will stay in my maybe board if i find a weak card. Same with Genesis Hydra which i hold near and dear
The Dicate idea i will definitly play around with, that sounds like a suped up version of what i tried doing with the shrine land.
So far funnest play ever:
Tap Bow of Nylea, with Hardened Scales in play add 2 counters,
Pay black remove 2 counters kill Xenegos's Saytr Token
Smile!
Question:
Does marset remove the timing restritions to the spells she exiled when attacking?
FYI:
Narset, Enlightened Master
3URW
Legendary Creature - Human Monk
First strike, hexproof
Whenever Narset, Enlightened Master attacks, exile the top four cards of your library. Until end of turn, you may cast noncreature cards exiled with Narset this turn without paying their mana costs.
3/2
It is very fun to run. I see some people suggesting going with blue for Cyclonic and Progenitor Mimic, but i think a more focused approach is stronger.
If you returned the batterskull to your hand then recast it would the new Germ also lose the abilities (this is with the humility card being on the battlefield now)
second part, if you moved the now recast batterskull to the original germ will the original germ gain Vigilance and Lifelink or does Humility continue to remove that ability?
in another game, i was on turn 3 i tap an Island and my last two lands plain ol' U/B duals (Dimir Guildgate and the Temple of Deceit) and cast Dark Ritual and bring my general, Skeleton Ship, to the board.
and since this is a funny little tribal "release the kraken" (or serpent or octopus...) ship deck. I made a "ding, ding" sound as i cast this 0/3 skeleton.
well my opponent plays Zombie Trailblazer on his turn and says watch this...taps his untapped trailblazer activating ZT's ability targetting my only island and making it a swamp and says to me "Hah! Ship wrecked!"
I tap 4 basics and Mystifying Maze activating the ability targeting sunblast, resolves Sunblast exiles.
Combat finishes, player 2 takes 16 damage in the air, dropping him quite low. but the real fun comes end step...Sunblast pops back in and wipes his board, killing his general and sunblast felt pretty darn cool
I will throw my hat in, but i have used this deck to beat GR Hurts, UW Control, BG Desecration Demon, and a couple other outliers. And i gotta say only thing that really really stops me is Mono-Red when they nut draw (or drop Burning Earth early game 1), Esper puts a lot of hurt on but a well timed rift or simic charm can mess up their plans good.
Strategy...go full steam fog and wipe.
16 Fogs, 6 Board Wipes, 2 Life GateKeepers and ramp till you win (or alt-win )
Now the sideboard might look a bit weird but they are to deal with the general metas. Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts + Isperia, Supreme Judge: game 2 when they have boarded out most of the creature removal, these two will be a massive surprise tilt to the game and give value. Draw & Destroy (the later if you can survive the damage, if not fog!) Negate or Simic Charm: anti-targeted maze removal, or a nifty creature bouncer Jace, Memory Adept + Assemble the Legion: Alt win for control match up Naturalize + Fade into Antiquity: either or depending on if its weapons or gods you have to spot remove or the dreaded Pithing Needle or Burning Earth appear Detention Sphere: I've used it for Needle removal, but its dealers choice best use of them
The rest should explain itself
Post Script: If the meta develops land-d then i say 'grats and good luck sir on winning the rest of your match ups
Post Post Script: This deck WILL NOT win every match up but its fun as all heck when you severely screw up your opponents plans and fog/rift/maze into your win or game 3 loss
