Feb 1, 2011lynnalynn posted a message on Power creep sucks for the fun and my wallet. It's a valid complaint, though I have to say with the power creep as it is it really fixes one of the big problems magic had back in the day. The more money you had, the better your deck was. I mean I remember trying and convince my mom to drop 10 dollars on a collosus of sardina (ok, i know, bad spelling), just so I could make an artifact deck. Now this was back during ice age block/revised...So that wasn't that common, but the point of it is the truly good cards were the ones who would trounce you everytime, and only the people buying rares, especially expensive ones would win.Posted in: Blog?
I do agree though, power has risen GREATLY. I look at one of my favorite cards from back in the day, Chromium, Now days he is all but unplayable. Then, he would devestate. 7/7 Flying Rampage 2 with a WUB Upkeep. You literally had to devote 3 of your lands to him. Now days you have dragons that really blow him out of the water one way or another without the upkeep. So in that respects I can see your complaint too. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
hey, I love the old cards, then again my favorite set was fallen empires so yeh lol. But as i said, I just think there is so much chance for shenanigans with this card, spikes are just the beginning, I mean even graft would profit from this, running it with blue/white/green, i think that it would be a very powerful card.
just the synergy in all that makes me want to add to my Experimentation in flora deck....must add white now into it
oops, sorry, had a brain toot, thats the one I thought they were talking about, continue on lol.
he was also reprinted in tenth edition, foil and all.
I had figured it meant priest of the moon. I like the very Crowley feel to this card; the art, the cards name, just everything says worshiper towards some ancient and powerful superficial entity...in this case, the moon. I think when isd roles around I probably will play humans.
I think you are right. That makes a world of sense, I almost but I think you more or less hit the nail on the head with that one. Forgot about the size changing hobbies there, shame on me lol
Ummm....Elspeth and Tezzy did have cards in scars, and there decks both had spoiler cards in them...
EDIT:I would love to see a returning Ajani
THIS!
and thus this just shaped the last few pull outs in the black deck I am making. Makes perfect sense.
that and a htc inspire desktop sized cabal pit?
Thank you
