    Pretty basic red enchantment.

Not super terrible, as its somewhat of a Maelstrom nexus in powerlevel in lots of cases.

Tapping out for 5 mana do nothing is the deal, then you get value, especially with instants each turn.

That’s an outright tempo loss in standard, but I’m fairly certain this wasn’t intended for standard.

If people have certain schedules for a stream and don’t stream tomorrow, it would be disrespectful for Wizards to pull the rug on them last mimute.

I’m glad we’re getting some spoilers today, even though most will be coming out tomorrow.

That would easily be the least inconvenient thing for someone to have suffered in the last week+.

I’ve never heard of these personalities. Spoiler season is a way for Wizards to advertise a wide group of Magic personalities and the content they offer. It’s a brilliant way to promote both the games snd those who make content fof the game. Losing that opportunity really sucks for these creators.

That would be a pretty tone deaf thing for them to say in their own defense. They can take a break from being a streamer for one day, but the real people suffering right now can’t just stop being black.

I’ve never read something so ignorant in my life.

Such is the privilege of not being black, I suppose.

What’s with the spoilers today? Did people not get the memo, or just being disrespectful?

    damn....
the "Do Nothing janky super expensive red enchantment" of the set came early,

But those are my favorite! I’m patiently awaiting the release of a Boros commander that plays into the enchantments-matter archetype. At least this card jibes with Sunforger.

I know, right? Kinda makes you optimistic for humanity. Right now I’m sorely tempted to take the $40 I was going to spend on an SL drop and donate it to the ACLU or NAACP instead.

    Here we go again

That's an official teaser. No clue on when the full card goes up. The group that posted it said they were informed to only post this by Wizards. No idea when the full card goes up.
Best guess is its a vampire as their name Vito (Life) is a modern variation of the name Vitus (Life-Giver). Also could be a pun on Veto, such as vetoing a legislation or decision, so it might relate to Fiora's voting minigame.

Sounds more Italian than Spanish, but it’s still an obvious allusion to Elenda, the Dusk Rose.

Yep the leak is 99% correct

The only thing wrong is teferi

True but there is also the possibility of this being a Intro deck walker or there could be more than one teferi in the set (as chandra in Core 20) but anyway the leak was almost acurate XD

    Actually this teferi was fake

The suposive leak one is back in business

    *Supposed

The leaked Teferi being able to use loyalty abilities at instant speed was far more interesting.

Eye of Ugin makes slightly more sense with the possibility of Ugin being back in standard (increasingly so with the leaks). Does that make Birthing Pod / phi mana a plant for return to New Phyrexia next year?

Also, if it’s not phasing then what is the returning, non-evergreen keyword?

Thst would functionally change Oubliette. Phasing is quite a bit different than what happens when Oubliette exiles a creature.
They already functionally changed Oubliette before back in early 2005, same with Tawnos's Coffin.

    https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/phasing-rescue-2005-02-21

And it feels like that quote from Thanos: "You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me."

To prove what I mean, I have attached two images to shows how much cleaner and simpler reverting back to the phasing rules for oubliette would be. Left is Phasing (34pt font, 30 words). Right is what it currently reads as (26pt font, 74 words).

Decided to also include the word count to demonstrate the stark difference.
That seems like an argument for *not* using Phasing though. If they did it once, and then reverted it because it changed it too much, then why would they do it again? This is a situation where they already tried the proposed solution and didn't like it.

Also, as pointed out, that still creates a number of functional differences which might change the card too much to be acceptable.

I feel like the changes in functionality are actually more positive, if anything. What would you consider to be unacceptable?

I’ll just go ahead and give myself a cookie for Massacre Wurm.

Teferi is close to the leak, but also disappointingly off. Oh well.

It won't be Azusa - Green ramp is strong enough without throwing her into the mix. And she would just end up becoming a key piece that gets banned anyway.

Could be Serra Ascendant - that's been printed in Core before.

Azusa would be a good plant and much needed reprint for EDH in much the same vein Crucible of Worlds was year before last, so my thought is... maybe, verging on cautiously optimistic. Serra Ascendant would be a safe reprint for Pioneer, so I could also see that, even or especially if it doesn’t have an obvious home.
