So, Rakdos' motivation was that he was wanting to brawl with someone? What about the PHYREXIANS less than 2 years ago?

    Thats the point, from the legends bio for MKM;

Rakdos is the demonic head of the Rakdos Cult. Since the glorious carnage and destruction of the invasion, none of the usual amusements staged by his followers have managed to rouse his interest. Plagued with boredom, he allowed himself to fall into a deep slumber, where he relives the chaos of the invasion while he waits for something new to pique his interest.

and here we go, Oko or Ashiok/Jace promised him something different/fun to fight on Thunder Junction.

    From the story, chapter 6:

"WHAT AN AMUSING TIME!" Rakdos bellowed through the open window nearby. "I HAVE NOT HAD THIS MUCH FUN IN DECADES!"

The invasion was less entertaining than fighting one cowboy dragon?

    Also also:

"We need to take the key. We have an ancestral demon, Parun of the Rakdos Guild, that could go toe to toe with the dragon. Also we have and enchantress that can put anyone to sleep. And a faerie that is know for transforming stuff into elks. Let's ignore them and try to go with disguises!"

And why the hell Geralf is fighting hand-to-hand with scalpels? He is a stitcher! He BUILDS stuff to fight for him!

Anyone else here annoyed with them using THUNDER all the time and describing lightning instead?

Thunder is SOUND! Not flashes, not crackling of light!

I can't help but feel like there's some kind of character assassination of Vraska. She should've supported Kellan and Annie instead of just being one of the outlaws cackling at Kellan's compassion

If you think Vraska has an character assassination, I would like to remind you that last month Kellan was a TRAINED DETECTIVE on the biggest detective agency of the multiverse. Now he is.... this.

I can't wait for them to unveil the last member of the gang:

    Yeah, it's like a Fanfic.

Imagine a heist movie, and the protagonist goes:

"I got the best team to rob that bank: Nicolas Cage, Michael Jordan, Pewdiepie, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Kate Perry, Russel Brand and Elon Musk!"

And a minor nitpick that makes me laugh a little, but: Where does Rakdos bougth Rakdos-sized vest, bandanna anda bandolier? And who made Kaervek's hat-crown? Rolleyes Rolleyes Rolleyes

Yeeeaaaah, we're getting into the territory where the story kind of falls apart. I can buy some of the characters being here, but some are just very forced. Why is Rakdos here? Eriette? Satoru? Gisa and Geralf? Even Breeches and Malcolm are such random inclusions.

Kaervec only works until you realize that he probably wouldn't join such a "small time crime" team given his power and ambition before he was imprisoned. It's like putting Bolas here, or Baron Sengir. I do have to say I actually enjoy the idea that he uses archaic speech, but that's just a little gimmick.

Yeah, that doesn't add up. Ashiok is paying for the heist? What does they have that RAKDOS and KAERVEK would want?

This looks like "lets get rando bad guys in a western scenario..." Next city they're gonna find Emrakul using spurs on each of her tentacles, and the Raven Man as a corrupt deputy marshall...

And another thing: the vault they're gonna rob is the one thing older than the Omenpaths on the entire plane... does this means the plan is only 3 years old? I mean, where the hell all the cities and structures came from? They mention a city that is already in decadence for lack of money... IN THREE YEARS?

Maybe Phyrexia win this time, everybody dies, and wizards stop spending money creating new characters and planes, and just focus on adapting pop franchises to the card game. That or they bring Eleven, The Doctor, Elminster and some space Marines to fight the Phyrexian Menace. (Contains vorthos bitterness...)

I was thinking about Kaya... She is an assassin trained to kill ghosts/spirits.

WELL, Mr. Bolas has a problem with a certain spirit... A Dragon Spirit.

Maybe their storylines will cross sometime?

I liked the story, good writing but I keep asking myself what race the characters were... I keep thinking about Tamsym as a goblin almost the whole story. Oh, and we got Leighbet's name only halfway through the story, it was kinda odd...

Isn't anyone bummed that an M19 topic boiled down to Estrid discussion? Isn't there a Commander 18 topic for that?

Maybe we got one story all about Belzenlok's rise. (Maybe half a story, in the same week they kill him?)
