What happened to all the GW DnT, hate bears decks go?

    Not enough revokers being played?

Foiled Etched champion seems undervalued at $20

    Thought?

The best use of fulminator right now is for trading. Fulminator in many cases can be replaced with rain o.f tears. Moved a set last week for legacy staples. Has anyone ever won a game with fulminator beat down?

Underestimations on how limited and how expensive they will be.

Were talking in demand 4 copies people want with a print run similar to sdcc planes walkers.

I played the heavy RG Titan, no cryptic on Saturday at an event. Started off 3-0 beating uwr control, merfolk, ur twin, then lost to rock (fulminators, tech edge), living end and ad nauseum (he had turn 0 leyline gm 2 + 3)

I don't play much modern, so I don't know my match ups. But I went with the heavy RG deck, splash blue for swan song and izzet charm and it felt very fast and powerful

I'm turning 40 this year, I quit magic during Urza Saga. Went off to school, was partying, into girls and got into cars, I started playing again during Zendikar block after I blew my shoulder out and found it difficult to compete in other activities. I pretty much exclusively play legacy since I been married, can't keep up with rotation of standard. My boys are 1 and 2.5, they have their own playmate and dice and I plan to teach them the game.

Looking forward to taking them to their first tournament.

Keeping a single daze on the draw is techy and something I like to do. It really can be a blow out in that important counter battle.

Modern was pretty much dead my shop. A few guys did advertising in the community and 22 guys showed up for Modern FNM.

Unfortunately, 11 players brought twin, which made the meta pretty lame. Only 10 guys showed up the following week. Enough to fire which is still an improvement.

Why is being "embarrassed" considered bad?

This was awesome low brow humour.

If anything I hope this serves as a public service announcement for individuals to wear appropriately sized shirts and pants.

Certainly it wasn't misleading. Theres an ample amount of exposed hairy man crack to be found at any tournament.

What is your meta like? how does it affect your deck choices and sideboarding?

My local environment is pretty healthy and diverse. Its common for me to encounter:

    Reanimator
    Dead Guy Ale
    Esper Stoneblade
    Death and Taxes
    Sneak Show
    Omni Tell
    Miracles
    Ooop All Spells
    UR Delver
    TES
    Tendrils
    UWR Delver
    Team America
    Punishing Jund
    Shardless BUG
    UW Stoneblade
    Maverick
    Dark Maverick
    MUD
    Lands
    Elves
    Dredge

My environment is pretty Healthy so its almost an anything goes. For the last month+ I've been playing bUrg tempo with great success. My overall record is 21-2 with the deck in tournament play. I think its one of the best up and coming decks.

I use a lot of general cards that have utility for a variety of matches, but its difficult to plan for everything under the sun. I make sure I have some combo, graveyard hate, and additional removal for the creature decks and artifact destruction.

A lot of this sounds good.

The only thing I'm not so sure about Modern Core set and 10 fetchlands appearing in standard. After Zendikar with the fetchlands, squadron hawk, sfm Wizards said that he wanted to reduce the amount or shuffle effects for standard because they added too much time to the game. I don't think there has been a shuffle effect in the last 2 blocks.

A standard format with all 10 fetchlands contradicts that. So from that perspective I don't see that happening.

I do see Zendikar fetchlands and ww manlands being reprinted in Modern Masters 2. The zen fetches are enemy colored and the manlands are allied colors so it makes for 10 color pairings.

Its a conundrum to me how they can introduce onslaught fetches to Modern without introducing them Standard.

This thread has degenerated into Wizard bashing. Yes, they screw up. No, you would not do a perfect job either if you were in charge.

No that's not going on here at all. Its very interesting that you came up with this interpretation. By the virtue of that reasoning we should never criticize what wizards does, and thus how can we even have a Ban list discussion, because are we not criticizing the ban list and thus criticizing Wizards?

Believe as you wish. You are playing the ostrich now. You dont want to believe so you deflect. Its fine. You can still play Legacy... for now.

Lol, Im observing facts that make you feel bad. I understand. There's a difference between playing ostrich and choosing not to argue with someone incredibly stubborn and big headed.

Must be lonely always trying to be "right" all the time.

Maybe if you actually provided a link to support your claims that would be more persuasive than your toxic responses.

I have told you there was testing by groups prior to the announcement of the format. You dont wish to believe it. This covers the bans at the announcement of the format.

As for the comment about sanctioning that was the bans since. People are asking for unbans of cards saying they were banned unjustly.

Either way, Wotc has data. You dont want to admit it because you dont like what they did with the data, but they have it.

I am not playing anything, I understand how data is gathered. Its up to Wotc to figure out what to do with it.

lol, you don't want to admit they don't have data because that would mean admitting that you were wrong. It took kibler complaining about mtgo before wizards did anything. They couldn't gather results before their system crashed to reset standings. They have no usable data.

honestly, your attempt to distract is rather weak. I'm not married to the format, but I can identify a logic fallacy when I see one.
