I personally really like the black splash. After seeing slaughter games on SCG this past weekend - WOW! It got work done. Also, rakdos return is a card that I love (and would love to own 4 of )
If I kill the thragtusk in response, they can pair the silverheart with the beast token, correct?
I just wanted the official ruling. Does it work because the token comes into play to pair? or the silverheart comes into play to pair (I think it is the latter).
So suppose my opponent is at 3 life, and casts a restoration angel with a trostani on the battlefield (to gain 4 life) - and in response to them casting the angel, I sac a ghoultree to jerad. They Die correct?
I can't see how they live, but we are having a discussion about it, and I can't exactly explain why they die
I am in the same boat as you. I tried GW aggro at fnm once (during AVR, so I did have angel), and it just felt really clunky... It was a fairly similar build to the one that just won Denver; I just didn't like it.
I think MonoG infect is good, but I feel it is a little bit too much like kuldotha red. Great hand and you just win turn 3-4, average hand and it is a real struggle - although I think the infect deck is much more resilient, still a little bit too much of a crap shoot for me
I know there's a store in Faial with a large community, but I don't think Sao Miguel has one. At least I have never heard of it. I'll investigate and let you know.
Hey, not sure if this is the right forum....couldn't find any better option!
But I have some family over in Sao Miguel right now visiting family; I believe some are staying in Vila Franca, and others are staying in Ponta Delgada. I was just wondering if anyone on here is from the island and knows of any stores that sell MTG over there? I couldn't find anything on the wizards store locator.
And delver (the deck, not the card) is good because it has the right tools at the moment. Like poecifer said, a 3/2 flyer turn 2 is neat. but two or even THREE 3/2 fliers turn 3 is bonkers.
I have never played RG aggro really, but bonfire is definitely my favourite card in standard right now. It is just so good at SO many things.
I am testing a mono red deck with 3 copies (because I only own 3 and they are hella expensive), and I think the card single handedly is the reason the deck performs as well as it does........in testing at least
if you want to beat delver, you are gonna need dungrove elder and probably geist as the above guy said. Also, 4 overruns, 4 lead the stampedes and 4 garruks are too many imo
ive been meaning to play a burn deck for a while, and yours looks alright. I would maybe cut down on the creatures/grenades a little bit....maybe consider reforge the soul (like 2 of maybe) for when you are low on cards ;)....oh ya and shrine
I wasn't whining, but appreciate the comment, dick.
Everyone else: thanks. I understood the reasoning for the sphinx and Bladehold, it was mostly the extra silverheart I didn't get.
Good to see that the salvation community is (for the most part) friendly.
Ya, I dont know why that guy snapped like that...didn't sound like you were whining to me.
I have 1 silverheart in my nayapod sideboard, and I never side it in. It is there for the ramp matchup, but I havent played ramp the past 3 fnm's, so maybe it is its time to go now.
I would say they are going to go up eventually (when RtR comes out), cause with titans gone, they probably look a lot better....But they may go down more before then. 15$ is the lowest they have ever been though I think, so might be a good idea to just get them now. They are really good aslong as your opponent doesnt have sweepers
once again - that is all just how I like to play
lets say we have the scenario
Opponent has:
thragtusk and casts wolfir silverheart announcing to pair with the thragtusk.
If I kill the thragtusk in response, they can pair the silverheart with the beast token, correct?
I just wanted the official ruling. Does it work because the token comes into play to pair? or the silverheart comes into play to pair (I think it is the latter).
Or maybe it doesn't work at all
Thanks

Awesome, thanks!!

lol @ this.

Delver can just CRUSH if it gets the right draws, but is also absolutely capable of having a good mid/late game. It is good at controlling the board with mana leak, vapor snag, and can be aggressive with delver of secrets and hero of bladehold, Restoration Angel. Add in ponder, gitaxian probe and you have INSANELY good consistency
