There's so much unconscious sexism I'd say. I try to keep cards at it, because they're pieces of paper, and not... people? Maybe that's just me.
But the internal, mechanical usages are one thing, the external cultural ones, are completely different.
And the external, cultural ones are the ones that frustrate me the most, perpetuating myths that simply don't exist. That girls aren't competitive, or smart enough, or some artificial barrier which gives men the privileged to say such things. (not to mention the verbal sexism that occurs all. the. time. moments outside the game that can be extraordinarily wrenching to hear, watch, and socialize with)
Any time a girl is playing, it's always something to note, but, I'd like to see it never be a big deal. Another player, another person to play, and just leave it at that.
I'd like to see how someone would sideboard that (slash where the heck does the Manticore come in and running a single of Journey? er.)
How do you feel about the Lynx & what do you think your hardest matchup was with it?
It plays very different, like you're gunning for the rush first, combo second, whereas mystic/outfitter is all in for the armor. It also explains why he dropped the sword to the SB, as if you pop quest, it's not like you're going to be looking for that. I also agree that the Lynx are probably wasted spots, as I'd rather have a 3/3 FS, than a 4/5 but only sometimes. Meh.
Anyone have any thoughts on running Silence MB'd in slow metas? I've been looking back, and keep thinking, if you can watch the expected ramp drops, and stall them for one turn from dropping the titan, wormcoil, or whatnot... especially if you forgo any type of removal other than armor... I haven't seen that many decklists using it, but against control, valakut, and eldrazi, it seems to have quite the niche for a time walk...
