Yeah, someone new came into my LGS, straight away versed one of the best players at FNM, the poor (early 20s) guy nearly started crying, it was pretty disheartening.
Question:
Why has GBW Nic Fit fallen out of favor? Is it because of Miracles and Omni-Tell?
Anyways, I'm just about to build a list with tweeks like this, and I'll let you know how it works out. I know that it'll be quite hard to deal with a Batterskull, but Nic Fit should be able to handle that as well.
I think it was because STP was a good removal to be splashed for, and now that Abrupt Decay is a card so I think it's strictly better.
I played against a couple of Batterskulls at my last Tournament and every time I couldn't have cared less, they were easy to deal with and didn't cause pain.
Game 1: This game goes for 30 minutes, I eventually beat him with Garruk Relentless after a Thrun held the fort against many a foe, took ****ing forever.
Game 2: I destroyed his hand with turn 2 Cabal Therapy + Flash back followed with Hymn after he mulled to 4, quick game.
1 - 0
Round 2: Vs Dark Depths (Really didn't expect this)
Game 1: Followed alot like game 2 of round 1, won with Kitchen Finks + Thrun.
Game 2: t1 Pithing Needle naming Vampire Hexmage, proceeded to win after multiple Hymn to Tourachs.
2 - 0
Round 3: Vs U/W Standstill
Game 1: I dun goof'd, went in thinking he was playing Merfolk so I kept a good hand that would be good Vs Merfolk... Standstill too stronk
Game 2: I got him to 1 but couldn't finish him
2 - 1
Round 4: Vs Maverick
Game 1: I did some misplays, Knight of the Reliquary did the beats, tried my best but couldn't win, might have had more of a chance if I wasn't on 2 and needed to have an untapped land when I had a shock in hand.
Game 2: Long game went for 20 minutes, we exchanged killing of creatures, he had a good board state, I damnation'd, won with Grave Titan + Thrun
Game 3: Mulled to 5, kept 3 land, damnation, Grave Titan, didn't do anything for the first 4 turns, damnation'd, both started topdecking after he disposed of my Grave Titan, he topdeck'd consecutive KotR, I lost.
2 - 2
Round 5: Goblins
Game 1: Hymn after double cabal therapy then won with Thragtusk.
Game 2: He mulled to 4, Pretty easy win.
3 - 2
Overall, had fun. Still getting the dual lands... So I only had a Bayou so I thought I could substitute some with Overgrown Tombs, Need a better sideboard
Even though the original comment was on hte first page, heartless summoning was (imo) extremely inconsistent even with ponder, I don't think anything in RTR has boosted it's consistency.
yes.
I hope Lightning Bolt, Explore, Mana leak, Birds of Paradise and Disfigure gets reprinted
I would not cut this ever.
I don't see why Diamond is bad if you run 2x loam
And confidant should be in the sideboard against combo

in comparison to this picture, simic charm doesn't seem odd if you were talking about how the middle frame was too the left.

What should I add? Remove?
There are a few aggressive creatures in R/G/B;
Diregraf Ghoul
(i guess Gravecrawler)
Also has some really great spells to back it up;
Murder/Ultimate Price
Has good possible planeswalkers;
Liliana of the Veil
Garruk Relentless
(Vraska might be a bit too much)
Chandra The Firdbrand (i guess)
Also how does this deck do against terragedon?
