Seriously? Now we're discussing the possible alignment of a role that may or may not be in the game based on the fact that we can't say for sure or not that DC is a gimmick account? I'm all for discussing things but c'mon folks. Second guessing the mod's setup is one thing but we've just taken that to the nth level. Let stick with what we know.

I personally feel that DC has defended himself as well as can be against Cyan and Xyre. Is it bad that I don't really give a crap if he's a gimmick or not? I've used a gimmick account before when wanting to try out a new playstyle without being lynched day one for abnormal behavior. Again, to repeat, I don't care whether he is a gimmick or not. In fact, I would like everyone still on his wagon to give a *short* post detailing why they are currently voting him. One to three bullet points will suffice. I'm curious to see what people say.
Now I find myself at odds with Bat. Its not a townie's job to stay alive. Its a townie's job to find scum. I get that I might be splitting hairs here, but its an important difference.
Speaking as someone who has been in Cyan's crosshairs before, there *are* ways to satisfy him and make him drop a case. Answering questions posed to you without being beligerent, building a better case on someone else, etc. DC has done none of those things. What it boils down to (at least to me) is that a Townie should be more concerned with offense- finding scum than defense- not getting lynched. It strikes me that DC's behavior has been more of the latter sort.
@DC- you wanted to know what caught my eye. I told you. I freely admit that I don't have concrete evidence and that I'm just playing my hunches. Its the way I play.
@DC- if I had to choose some specific behavior that rang bells with me, it was the "oh my god, I've got votes on me, I had better start laying false trails by saying X is townie and Y is townie but Z and W are definitely scum." Its the kind of thing scum do when they're much closer to lynch and think that nothing said will dissuade the town from lynching them. Other than that, you've just been giving me a very scummy vibe. I'm sorry if you don't like that I'm good with voting my gut on day one, but that's what I have to go on.
Is anyone else getting the "scum on the hook" vibe from DC? Its hard for me to pinpoint exactly where I started feeling that way, but I'm comfortable with a

In other news, I'm getting a townie vibe from Cyan and Wuffles.
@Tilde- reading is tech. I didn't insinuate jack. I stated that I think Abandon Hope is claiming he was targetted last night and that bringing it up is fishing for person who did so.
Checking in. I forgot how fast these threads build. Lots of banter but no real "meat" to read over...
Except for Abandon Hope's post. I don't like that he comes out with a claim of someone targetting him last night. Night 0 was a no kill night and this kinda smells of someone fishing for an information role to come forward which only the scum benefits from happening. I see he's been tagged as LVP, but that's no excuse for bad play. For now at least, I'll drop a
All right, I've been playing around with this deck for a while now, and I'm not ok with scooping to CoP: Red or Sphere of Law. I know I'll probably take heat (I'm in the burn thread after all- groan) for revamping a solid list, but here is what I plan to take to Columbus with me this weekend. I know the mana curve is slightly high for burn, and I might play a little slower than the traditional build, but I'm hoping that I've covered those areas. Here's the deck.
Card Choices:
Never have liked Sparky all that much and after turn one, he's really not that useful.
Howling Mine- Yes, my opponent gets to use it first. But suddenly, I'm a LOT less likely to miss a land drop (meaning I can run 18 instead of 20+) and because its an artifact, I can run 3 less artifact lands, which means I don't have to worry about needing red mana and only finding citadels. I'm less likely to run out of gas as well.
Sun Droplet- Always handy if they figure out how to stay alive past turn 5. More artifacts for Shrapnel Blast if I need it. Only really wanted if there is a mid-late game, so only 2 in the deck. Has more uses than Dragon Claw in my opinion as it comes in handy against decks that don't play just red, such as Zoo, Doran, Dredge, etc.
Charbelcher- The slowest card of the deck, but it side steps CoP and Sphere and counterspells, and all sorts of crap. Allows you to fire through them and steal games. Don't want one in your openning hand though, so only 2.
Boseju- Said it before, and I'll say it again. Against Dovescape and Counterbalance, this card is an MVP.
Ghostflames I'm kind of iffy on. Its colorless burn so I can bring it in against Sphere and CoP players, but maybe there's something better.
Demonfire is also kind of iffy. I mean yes, sometimes an uncounterable, unpreventable 4 damage will end the game, but should I really be giving sideboard spots to it? This may become another copy of Boseju and Sun Droplet.

@Cyan- how is thinking this is a blatant claim that he was targetted a misrepresentation?
