yep that's them all right, Personally I don't think that old jank precons an odd number of sleeves are worth 30 bucks even with the slim chance of pulling Bribery out of the mercadian tourney pack.
I was browsing in my local walmart today when I noticed a weird new magic product, it's two old decks and/or tournament packs thrown together. It also comes with 100 standard card sleeves, some plain, some with art, All held in a clear plastic case that resembles a fat pack. It was priced at 29.99 is this new? or has my store just been slow about getting it in? Several of the boxes were from odyssey and mercadian Masques and I also saw a bit of invasion in there as well.
I'm personally pleased with the disappointed attitude towards avacyn, If she isn't popular she'll be cheap and easier to acquire. Then when things rotate (as they do) her price will skyrocket Leaving me all the richer! ha ha ha! (that's if I don't end up making room for her in kaalia)
See I don't think a crappy decklist is fine at all. I know this product is centered towards casual but comon jaws of stone and no mulldrifter? really? I know they can do better than this, GvE, JvC, AvD, GvL, and TvE these were all great, Why can't we have more of this?
Better decklists mean that better cards are included which means a higher value (cause great cards usually cost more) Wizards doesn't want you to be able to make money off of them hence the crappy lists. although I would like to see if anyone can make a venser or koth decklist that costs about the same but isn't jank.
What's really off is that by counting up prices on the last duel deck bolas vs ajani I also found that it's worth about 30$ Do you guys think that wizards is putting a money cap on these decks? Keeping them crappy so that you can't make a profit on them by piecing them out? Just a thought, I'll have to look closer on past decks to see if there's a pattern.
While technically worth the 20 dollar price tag, (counting prices only over a dollar, this product came up at around 30$) Essentialy the only reason to buy it would be to strip the walker's and PtE out of it. The last three duel decks have been complete jank at this rate i think the series will stop selling and crash, what a waste.
Actually I don't think that would be enough. I think that current creative considers all MtG angels female and you have to convince the entire team to allow male angels. I think that the fact that the only recent male angel we have seen was in planar chaos and thus from an alternate reality is proof of that. This reality's MtG angels are all female, but in other realities they could be male. It is just one of those traditional flavour things in magic, just like no dwarves and stupid goblins. You must try to convince the entire flavour department to do things differently. It can be done though: the lack of goblins and elves in Innistrad is a good example.
it comes down to the light perspective for me, the townsfolk are way to dark for me, think about it in three dimensional space, the art depicts avacyn's wing directly under the eve of the house, I can't exactly tell how many stories the house is from the art but avacyn is no more than 30 feet above them the light above her should be reaching them aswell, but it isn't not in the same degree at least, maybe that's the point the artist was trying to make (avacyn bringing in the light to darkness) but the whole image strikes me as odd.
actually klemzo I put this in baseless speculation because A, I'm "speculating" that the art isn't the actual art for avacyn and B It's "baseless" because the evidence is somewhat based upon perception of the art itself, not grounded in hard fact.
I was browsing a thread that was debating avacyn's colors (I'm thinking WB) and i decided to take a second look at the annoucement art for avacyn restored when i noticed something, the art for avacyn looks like it's been cropped out from another picture. Maybe it's my eyes placing tricks on me, but compare avacyn to the rest of the art, she doesn't look like she "fits". The history of that plane is soooo messed up, it's storyline is so twisted up that it's better to just forget about the entire plane and anything to do with it. But in all seriousness i could see a possible use of the mirai in the future depending on who has control of it. My guess is that it's being studied by jin or an even more likely scenario laying beside slobad's corpse (if he's dead), I don't believe that creative would have had it destroyed off camera nor do i believe they've forgotten about it. It was the center artifact of an entire block.
Just a hypothetical question here because i've never been infracted for anything, (yet) but If one was infracted for backseat modding, (or anything in general) and there is a rules change that disqualifies that rule as a infraction level offense, would a user that was infracted for said rule still have an infraction? Would the same also apply for a suspension? or a ban? In my opinion (which matters very little) I would think that it would be wrong to keep someone banned or suspended for a rule that was no longer enforced on the site.
