Jivanmukta posted a message on The truth is irrelevant, we make our own facts.Posted in: ClansQuote from Digi »We for sure have enough actives to not shut down. They aren't closing us down, and we've been activish the last couple weeks. I'd rather have the clan retire themselves as opposed to sally retiring us. I don't believe that is the case, in any case, as popular consent is to stay open.
House Dimir exists in a quantum state. -

Yay!
Went 4-0 in Khans sealed last night with a 5 Colour Value deck. I had 3 tri-lands, 6 duals and a fetch. It was pretty sweet. -

Jivanmukta posted a message on The truth is irrelevant, we make our own facts.Been using Roll20 for a few games. DM's have said it's a really easy tool. Best part is we have a complete log of everything that has happened, and there is no risk of metagaming due to players being unable to "not listen in character". Saves a lot of hastle.Posted in: Clans -

If you can win a game on politics alone, then you've expended significant brainpower and I consider you to be a strong multiplayer gamer.Quote from Rigval »if you win with your tongue and not with your brain or your skill then you're bad player. -

Galspanic posted a message on Universal Gentlemen’s agreement1. When you play, intend to play friendly.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
- I have no idea what this means. I act socially and try to make sure I read social cues. My goal is to beat people and that's their goal too... not sure what #1 applies to.
2. Judge the impact of your actions.
- I think any gamer does this. Then what?
3. No overwhelming Land Destruction, Countermagic & Specific hate.
- Oh, so you want to be overrun with an entire meta game of UGx ramp decks that combo off on turn 5? Okay.
4. No infinite combos.
- Why not? They allow us to break deadlocks and end games that for all intents and purposes have ended.
5. Don’t play Solitaire.
- So, to avoid this I can play Land Destruction, Countermagic & Specific hate?
6. Do not design around abusive abilities in the format. Use with caution. (Infect, Life totals, etc.)
- None of these have ever been a problem that social solutions couldn't fix. Infect even in open metagames is bad. Lifetotal decks are bad. Sorin #1 is okay and Magister Sphinx is okay.
7. Let everyone have FUN. Take some interest and enjoyment in the wacky things everyone else is doing. (Sheldon Menery)
- Except the people who play Land Destruction, Countermagic & Specific hate, Infect, and Life Total decks?
8. Remember those rules when you build your deck.
- How? There are so many ways to interpret these rules.
9. Spread the word about GCL.
- .....
10. We're playing. This is serious!
- winky face for sure man. This is the opposite of "playing." This is developing codependent geeks without coping skills. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

KoolKoal wasn't dictating or anything. He was merely being pleasant about an unpleasant situation. But our general distaste for staff at this point has provoked reactions such as that.

Nice to see so many familiar faces as well as a new one or two.
I haven't heard from yanni in over a year.

Speaking of sick, the new commander cards are getting me hot.

I have my thumb on my nose though, because I don't want to DM.
@GoC, checking it out now. Will respond in a bit.
I see Harry Kim as the only regular dude in Star Trek, lol.

There is a book called "The Federation: The First 100 Years" that breaks down every time he said something like this and explains the formation of the prime directive. Not that any is needed. But that book is probably my favorite coffee table book:)
I considered Salek when making this list, but I don't perceive him as a villain.

We recently bought and moved into a new house, (old house was getting to me). Deedee is doing great in school, and so am I. Dexter likes living closer to Mimi, even though we haven't been seeing my mother near as much as we were.
I have quit my job at brinks to focus on school full time. The GI Bill is awesome.
Anddddddd that's about it. Kicking it. I have lots of free time opening up.

As long as this clan continues, I will be happy.
I urge you all to consider a noninvolvement role with the council and our clan, though. As most of you are acutely aware, our involvement with them is senseless.

Wreck-it ralph is science fiction. Or at least, somewhat. Imaginative Science Fiction at the least.

That was the weirdest thing I've seen in a few days. Is that a game show on MTV now?
Only two equips?
