If my opponent makes Gideon Jura a creature via his 0 ability, can i use Olivia Voldaren's abilities to damage and take control of him? Her abilities seem to function regardless of whether the damage goes through or not
i thought about it, in standard architect builds it would probably work. maybe not 4 n 4 but a 4/2 split or something might be nice. i dont have room for that many since i aim for amulet T3 (usually 1 drop then spellskite or invis stalker)
As much as I try to work this deck....Delver is the wrong one drop. Phantasmal Bear is the correct choice.
this. bears are way better. and one drops are really needed so you can use architect first turn its out. with just archie and mages theres a chance itll get removed before you can use it
4 bears and invis stalkers ensure you can use t3 to get out the amulet (even if they kill the architect right off the bat), all in one turn is a bit ambitious, not meant to super rush out blightsteel by any means but it can do it, t4 is pretty good in my book flash in at eot on their turn. My list needs some tweaks but its a pretty solid list, its not an easy deck to pilot and requires you to know what hands to keep
what makes it so you can use reassembling skeleton's effect when it is not on the battlefield, is there a specific clause in the rules that makes this exemption?

Ok so i havent checked this archetype since way before rotation (mid june-ish) so i dont know if you guys have gone over this idea yet. Ive been using the architect engine with quicksilver amulet to sneak out wurmcoils n blightsteels. With the latter if you flash it in EoT then its almost always game (no O-rings or revoke exist). Ill post the decklist soon just wondering if anyone else had tried this method.
PS also thinking of adding in a Kuldotha Forgemaster for more flash in shenanigans
So here's the U/W list ive been working on, still needs testing and such but i like the conept, focusing completely on the switch seems risky so its there as more of a back up. Also this is meant to help more against aggro.
Wow echo switch, i hadnt even thought of taking the deck that kind of direction. Im going to try and make up a list in the next few days and see how it goes.
So i had the crazy idea of trying to use Phyrexian Unlife as a shield and then giving away the life total with soul conduit. This is by no means meant to be anything beyond having fun at FNM type deck, just thought id put it in a mono white control shell (tumble magnets, contagion clasps, and other artifacts) and then thought of adding ramp to make the switch more reasonable/attainable. I haven't figured out a full list yet but my main card choices are as such:

Soul Conduit
Control Elements
Tumble Magnet
Day of Judgement
Contagion Clasp
Lux Cannon (maybe)
Dispatch

So i know what art i want on the play mat but dont know how to go about it. I dont have nearly enough skill with the mats to get it right and i dont want to go through a bunch trying to. Is there a way print an existing piece onto a mat? might be the wrong thread for this but couldn't find any other one
i think hes saying that morbid is the drawback. needing a creature dead that turn is pretty situational. why not just use regular removal over banshee, adding a 4/4 body to the package isnt much justification for nerfing dismembers power and raising its cost (also sorcery speed, thats a big one)
