I broke my ankle this year, and barely finished out the semester at my University (where I broke my ankle )
NecroBlade and I are still together for those who care. I haven't been on here in forever and now he hasn't either.
The past few months have been busy. My leg has healed without further complications (yay!) but it does hurt a little every day, but mostly where I can ignore it. Sometimes when it rains it aches, and I feel like I'm 90.
Spring Break Necro came up for a visit and helped me limp around. I was still in the wheelchair then and he pushed me around campus. Once I looked back and he wasn't there and he was letting me just roll down the parking lot, waving with a goofy grin. I screamed bloody murder at him for an hour or so.
I graduated to a cane for a while, and that only made some of my friends steal it from me and run. But it also came in handy for hitting people. I finally got back in a normal shoe then instead of the big boot and it was so weird. Physical Therapy helped, my guy was awesome, and I did all sorts of stretches in general to help get the movement back. It went fast after that. Necro even went with me once, it was so sweet.
I managed to finish the year of college and keep my 4.0! I was amazed and so so happy. My Latin Prof is one of the most amazing people I've ever met in my life. She's like a quirky little old lady angel put here on earth, and she helped me so much I could never thank her enough.
So far as I know I'm keeping my scholarship and I'm not behind in hours, in fact I'm still ahead.
I haven't gotten to do much, though. Once school was out I had to clean house. We had to get rid of everything that was setup for me when I was nonambulatory. I haven't been keeping up with almost anything on the internet in a while, except for a few minor things. Once I finished the cleaning and rearranging and boxing things up in an extra room (for when Necro moves in ), we joined a gym, trying to get strength back in my legs and such. Then, vacation! Off to ORLANDO!
And I just got back Saturday. Vacation was amazing, I was with my man, and we went to Sea World and the beach and Disneyworld and everything.
I just thought I would drop a line to clear anything up so rumors wouldn't run around about my demise at the hands of chaps or anything. Hope everyone here is well.
