So I started college. I like it a hell of a lot better than high school. High school was some of the worst times of my life. I am glad to be past that.

Not exactly. You can pass without pitching a land and if your opponent does anything other than pass, you will get a chance to pitch lands again. Useful if you have only one land in hand and you think/know your opponent has only one as well.

I recently added it to my Land Destruction deck; wonderful finisher...sit's in my hand until my opponent has none, then Trade Routes goes into action. But from the last couple of posts apparently I was playing it wrong. So can I, or can't I pitch a bunch of lands to it to deal a massive amount of damage?

You CAN pitch a bunch of lands, but ONLY if you pitch one the FIRST time you get priority after playing the Storm. If BOTH players pass priority in a row, it resolves. This is how it works...
You play Lightning Storm.
You get priority.
You pitch a land.(#passes=0) [If you pass here, #pass=1...]
Your opponent passes. (#passes=1) [...then #pass=2 and the spell resolves]
You pitch a land. (#passes=0)
Opponent passes. (#passes=1)
And so on...
As long as #passes=/=2, priority will pass to the next player, back and forth, and you can pitch another land if you have it every time priority comes your way.
This is the way the card has always worked. It has NEVER allowed you to hit multiple things, and Oracle wording did NOT change from the original.

I doubt it, too, since LotP is coming back in 10th, not TS (though it could be both, you never know). It does look a lot like him, though (and yes, a bit like BOTH the choices for 10th).
Also, could someone clue me in to why the hell whether or not the pendulum is going to hit the ground is important???

Personally, I don't think all the Slivers in TS need to be new. I think they should reprint a cycle from Tempest, a cycle from Legions, and a new cycle.

As much as I dislike Slivers, I think I'd have fun with them if I could get my hands on some, especially some old ones (reprinted).
