So there's only one red card left in RTR and given the mythic breakdown, its probably red. Through the arcana tonight we got the tokens and low and behold, there's a 6/6 dragon. What do we suppose this mythic will do to create 6/6 dragons?!
So I was reading through these and I noticed that each has a picture for the guild leader and the location for each guilds house, hall, bastion, fortress, or place of refuge or what have you. We know each of the guild leaders will be a Mythic with 5 in RTR and 5 in Gatecrash. Does anyone else think that the guild halls or whatever you would call them will be a rare/mythic land cycle to have 5 in this set and 5 in the next?
I know its unlikely, but it would be awesome to have walker in each guild. I don't mean a mythic walker, but one in the rare slot that would be a lesser version than what we currently get. Maybe walkers with only 2 abilities, a + and -. They could be apprentice walkers with 1 loyalty or something like that. I know it will likely never happen but it seems so cool. You could have a red walker 2CC, +1 walker deals 1 damage to target creature or player. -1, draw card, then discard a card. 1 loyalty.
WOTC should have made 9 rings for the LOTR reference But in all seriousness, a ring from each known plane that we've been to would have been cool. That being said, these may have some of the most beautiful art in MTG history.
That's probably a pretty good guess considering there are three guys beside her in frame (two are visible, the third's coat can be seen coming from off frame.)
We have the art for Captain of the Watch from WOTC on the visual spoiler. Its the old art again.
With two DFC mythics, won't that make them harder to come by than any other card? Or will they somehow balance this out. I don't see how it can be done.
No its doesnt. DFCs were more common than any other card type among all the rarity's during our INN openings (52 cases). When comparing play set counts after opening, DFCs had on average 3-4 more playsets than a similar card of the same rarity. Having another mythic just brings the numbers more in line with normal cards but they will still be more common. I'm betting they put the two Mythics in this set because they had ideas for more mythics than they had slots for given that AVR will have no DFCs.
I would assume the promo cards will be the Arcana leaving Maro's article and this one shown here with the ghoul looking thing for the two articles. Does anyone know if there will be a mini site for DKA? The usually go up the Wednesday before spoilers begin but as far as I know, we don't have one yet.
