I tested the deck for the first time tonight as well. I, too, have played LED-less dredge in Legacy and was looking forward to carrying the torch on into Modern.
My experience was that Hedron Crab was a bit of a let-down, and getting Rasulka into play was very inconsistent. I felt that the deck needed more ways to discard so I threw out 1 Crab and Rasulka apiece for 2 Phantasmagorians. When I dredged into it it performed wonders. Don't forget you can activate his ability multiple times in the graveyard, tossing your entire hand (or close to it) if necessary.
Since the deck takes so long to get going I'm wondering if we can use the added mana pool (that Legacy Dredge normally lacks) to our advantage. I've played a number of games where I wasn't dredging into Narcomoeba and had a Dread Return sitting uselessly in my hand. I think its worth testing a deck that runs more discard outlets and a full set of Dread Return... looking to abuse it more, rather than abusing Bridge from Below and free creatures. The available mana can be used to throw out sacrifice-able weenies/discard dorks. In order to get Bridges into the graveyard we can play simple mill cards akin to Glimpse.
I'm going to test a few ideas over the next few days to see what I can come up with. Playing discard as a sub-theme might help the combo match-up as well.
I'm curious how targets of the Equip ability work. Can I equip a creature with an equipment that's already on the creature, or is that considered an illegal target?
Reason I ask is because I want to be able to use Piston Sledge as a sac outlet. Can I try to target my creature even though it's already attached just so I can sac an artifact? What about if I target something illegal, like a Land. Will that allow me to use the Piston Sledge as a sac outlet?
Lastly, it's written in the rules that if an equipment attempts to be equipped to an illegal target, instead the equipment is unequipped and nothing happens/resolves. This leads me to think a player can choose an illegal target, yes? That doesn't sit quite right with me though...
Sounds like a great idea but I agree with the other post saying it'll most likely not be the highlight of the deck, but just a supporting mechanic. If I was going to make an EDH graveyard-central deck I would focus on Reanimate effects, Dredge, Threshold, and land/GY combos like Life from the Loam & Crucible of Worlds mixed with utility lands like Strip Mine, etc.. Having 50 cards in the GY and the ability to pull what you need from it sounds really powerful. I suggest picking a general solely for the colors so you can include all colors.
Hedron Crab is an easy way to semi-dredge. Forbidden Crypt might be worth looking at.... There are tons of cards to look at I don't even know where to start. The previous suggestions are great, and Genesis is a must in my book.
Since I'm fairly new to Magic, my crown jewel is a signed copy of "Fact or Fiction" from Terese Nielsen. I collect her cards and this card even has a self-portrait of herself in it. AWESOME!
Andy has slowly become far-and-away my favorite character.

I learned MTG from a friend a year ago but mostly played casual Vintage/Legacy. I recently relocated and found a few groups that play mostly Standard so I jumped onboard!
Hoping this website will give me lots to think about as I build my decks. I could also use some play advice as I'm not the greatest deck pilot you've come across.
My first Standard deck was an Infect/Artifact with Steel Overseer pumps, but just bought some new cards to turn it into an Architect Control deck. Loving it so far

Also, I like my Sol Ring and Genesis.

I may need to come back for an avatar when I pick a nice card
Can you make me a Terese Nielsen banner? She's my favorite artist, particularly art similar to Unholy Strength, Holy strength, Nature's Spiral, and especially Lifelink.
Use any of her cards that you like!
EDIT: Also, flavor text from any of her cards that you deem appropriate would be nice as well.

P.S: How do you tag cards?
