Seems really average. Rules question: If you attack with it, equip to something, then 0 it to make it fall off. Does it remain tapped?
The only way this would come up is if you 0 this, attack, play one creature, equip to that creature. In this case, It's still 0'd for the whole turn, and is a creature, that attacked. So yes, it would be tapped.
And from then on you cannot activate 0 because you control a creature.
If my opponent shuffles their deck then presents it for cutting, and I shuffle it, are they allowed to cut it afterwards?
Has this ever been a thing?
Thanks
No, they cannot cut it after your shuffle and present it.
Once your present their deck back to them after your cut/shuffle, thats it.
when i use bane alley broker's draw ability, i exile a card, and then some one kills it. if i were to cast another one, and assuming it lives long enough for me to use its second ability, can i get the card exiled by the first broker, since they both have the same name, or is that effect kinda like this card only?
You can only return one of the exiled cards with the second ability if THAT Bane Alley Broker exiled it with their first ability.
For all the bad mouthing i see about Vexing Devil i say if you like him run him. I personally run a RDW and i run him AND ash zelot so i don't see what the big deal is? If you draw him turn 1 it's amazing either way, if you open your hand with 2 of them.. the second one is gonna stick, or 8 to the face by turn 2 is amazing.. i have been going 4-1 or 3-2 consistantly every friday i've run my deck. The only thing i can't really get around is sphinx/thrag decks, and usually it comes down to i have them at 1 life, they have a blocker and even if i draw ash zelot OR vexing devil i still can't do that last point of damage before being milled out or hit with a 4/4 angel (geist) and dying next turn. EVEN putting in 4 skull cracks in sideboard i have this issue. It's not so much Vexing devil is bad as it is, we need just ONE more instant burn spell. I'm thinking with the addition of Armed (from armed/dangerous) or possibly weapon surge, as a replacement for mad cap skills) we might get slightly faster and can handle things a little better.. but post rotation.. seems like we are screwed anyway. So my vote is run it if you like it, ditch if you don't. I will say it does come out as a sideboard card against some decks, but it is a main deck 4 of for me for sure. I however am talking standard play that is. (and also he can't be all bad since his price went from $2 a few months ago back up to $10 now.. which is higher than when he actually released, so someone likes him!).
Casual players like him. A lot.
(Edit: That may seem condescending. Nothing AT ALL wrong with casual players liking a card. Casual magic is awesome.)
Punisher cards are bad except in the most extreme of cases. I can't believe this comes up so often. Vexing Devil doesn't do what you want it to do. It's no good.
Basically this.
Madding is right when he says punisher cards are bad except in extreme cases. Browbeat will either do 5 to your opponent or resolve when they don't care what is in your hand. Breaking Point will never clear the board when you need it to, and never deal 6 when you need it to.
Giving your opponents a choice (most of the time obvious) is not a good idea, because you're basically saying "well, what should I do? what's easier for you to handle?"
Fact or Fiction being an exception because you always win.
That said you'd still play Gideon in this deck because it's the only deck he works in, and he actually does good work in it. He is an alternative win in such a deck, removing everything from the game but himself and then attacking for alot. Just have to keep pumping him. Side him out against control
Vorel works with Elocuters, and also with Otherworld Atlas which is a kind of card that this kind of deck would need. We are already WUG here, but I'd really want that red miracle too. Ah well.
If you put some counters on palisade giant, that could reasonably hold some decks off for a good long while. Vorel doesn't put counters on the big guy though, and he has no way to put counters on himself unfortunately.
I can't think of any other cards that would be supported by this off the top of my head, but it might be a consideration with elocutors and atlas as a basis. To win, just play increasing confusion, elocutors, or Gideon.
I cannot fathom why Boros Reckoner is not in here. Metamorph knows what he is talking about most of the time, and this is one of those times. He seems defensive sure but he is incredibly offensive as well for the reasons Metamorph already stated.
Plus the card is the stone cold nut and initiative making it a 4/4 is nothing to snort at
If I have Melek, Izzet Paragon out with an Ignite Memories on top of my deck, does the following happen:
I cast two cantrips / rituals and then Ignite Memories from the top of my deck.
The first cast gets me 3 copies of Memories, then the Melek copy triggers storm as well? Which would net me 4 copies, and then 7 copies of IM total?
Just want to confirm how storm spells work on top of the deck with Melek.
Since this is totally vanilla and all.

... Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.
Greenest creature I ever did see.
Also, implying this guy will see legacy play is pretty hilarious.

You can only return one of the exiled cards with the second ability if THAT Bane Alley Broker exiled it with their first ability.
You can't swap in and out between brokers.
Then perhaps you shouldn't cast your revelations into 2UB then?

Maybe if it can splash white for Revelation. Otherwise, Revelation decks will just be better.
Gideon, Champion of Justice
rtfc, bro!
