So I built this deck under the assumption there was going to be lots of removal and there was. I wanted to make the deck as resilient to removal as I could and it does really well for that. Golgari charm is a major player in the deck and is an absolute 4 of.
All 3 modes are good the -1/-1 beats Elspeth if I need to get in. The regenerate is godly I don't feel this needs explaining lol. It makes supreme verdict anger of the gods and other sweepers nonfactors and makes blocking and killing their creatures a lot easier. And the destroy enchantment whip is a player and I see some detention spheres so its useful.
Selesnya charm so much midrange right now so it plays nicely
But the mana base is good I worked on it quite a bit made a sacrifice on some cards to up my consistency so I have an 82% ratio of good playable hands with plays on turns 1-3. I haven't tested consistency with sideboard because sideboard is still being worked on.
tl;dr What do you think of my deck and any suggestions?
So I had netdecked this first and tweaked it slightly with taking out restoration angels and putting in Sorin,Lord of Innistrad. Sideboard is of my own design but I am not too fond of it. Reason for taking out restoration angels was because Restoration angel didn't have enough good targets and I really didn't want to just use it as a chump blocker for flyers. I got Lingering souls for that.
Another Point is I'm not running snapcaster simply because I like the card advantage augur of bolas gives me. And his body he beats A LOT of beaters in standard. My win condition is Nephalia drownyard. Because it wins there isn't enough ways to deal with it. So it usually just gets through. I have enough disruption and enough card search to get my answers to make nephalia a reliable win condition.
So I'm asking for some suggestions I would like to keep sorin and nephalia drownyard as my wincons and keep the card advantage this deck gives.
I rip apart control decks and tempo decks. Reanimator is an ok matchup.
I have A LOT of trouble with fast aggro such as mono red GB zombies and BR. So I'm looking for suggestions for my mainboard that would keep my card advantage and some better sideboard options
so the deck is there wanted to see what you all thought about it mainly casual but i want it to stand on its own im testing it online atm you guys see any changes that could be made or any uneccssary cards.
So I kind of built this deck off of keeper as like the base of the deck but it isn't since keeper has 1 win condition. This deck has a bunch of win conditions. Wanted to get some feedback have been testing the deck against bob/gush control and my deck does really well. So I think I would consider it a tier 1 deck. Wanted to see what you guys thought and if there was anything you would change.
I'm not going to include the sideboard because the sideboard is tuned for my local card shop meta so the sideboard wouldn't make much sense atm lol
I have considered putting a Sol ring into the deck but most of the cards in the deck dont cost colorless. It would only benefit the Ichorclaw Myr. Sometimes I dont even draw ichorclaw so then I end up with a sol ring just sitting there.
I actually haven't tried the deck with the crossroads so I'll have to playtest it this week see how it does.
When I first built the deck it was legacy but we tried the mox and lotus in it and it was sooo much faster so fell in love with it <3
I like the Gitaxian orbs because it gives the deck some draw power which speeds it up a bit. It also tells me what cards to save mana for or when to attack and if I'll be able to kill them with no interferance
I upgraded it so it doesn't fall apart after turn 4 which he did. It has a higher consistency of winning on turn 2 now and is much faster. What I'm thinking of doing is taking out Groundswell for Giant Growth. What do all of you guys think. Any other changes I can make. I recentely won a fnm vintage of like 40 people went undefeated 2-0 every match with this deck. I'm hoping one day to bring this to a pro tour qualifying tourny
Let me know if there is anything I can do to make this better or make it more universal right now Nature's Claim and Mental misstep deal with everything I face at the local fnms. Also do you guys think this deck would be capable of competing at higher lvls?
Ok so if I used Liquimetal Coating to turn a planeswalker into an artifact lets say Jace. And then after I turned Jace into a planeswalker I used Steal artifact. Now Steal artifact says I'd be able to keep jace until either jace dies or steal artifact is discarded/removed. But liquimetal coating only turns it to an artifact till end of turn. So my question is would I be able to keep jace or does it go back to the owner at the end of my turn.
I'm trying to keep everything below 2 casting cost. Now this deck usually wins on turn 2-3. But am I missing something that can keep it winning on turn 2
