It might also work in a Seance/Dredge deck that relies on stuff that's in the GY to win, but that deck doesn't need this effect anymore than Tokens does. :/
But it exiles the permanent...so it's really difficult to build around.
People haven't really mentioned that his -4 ability can be redirected at other walkers. That is not irrelevant as it will almost always kill the other walker (other than Karn).
People are complaining about the +1 because it's random, which is valid I suppose. But I don't see this guy as a staple for RDW as much as in a deck that doesn't mind the discarding, like UR flashback, which may be a deck now.
True. WotC just missed a great opportunity to make Green Stompy playable - undying green beasts. I mean, come on, even Stragleroot Geist is rather underwhelming, is this really this hard to print 2G Haste, Trample, Undying, 3/2?
Yeah, and the truth is, that card wouldn't even be absurd. Instead they make
Howlgeist 5G
Creature - Spirit Wolf
Creatures with power less than Howlgeist's power can't block it.
Undying
4/2
How bad is that card? I guess it's a "beatstick" at times, but 6 mana, reallY?
Strangleroot geist is a good card though. Saying otherwise is pretty silly, but that's one of the few examples in recent history.
Green has good creatures, but stranglewood geist or acidic slime aren't really very exciting...
Yeah, this bothers me. I really want to enjoy green, but it's just so underwhelming. I feel like geist of saint traft was a huge mistake...I would have loved to see a green card that was basically identical (GW instead of UW), but created a 4/4 trampling beast. I mean c'mon wizards. The color that is supposed to have the best creatures is always getting the short end, while blue, the best color, always gets help in pretty much every area when a new set comes out. I think green should get more power creep in its creatures. I want to see more hasty creatures that are undercosted. Other colors can deal with green so easily, but green has a difficult time dealing with other colors. This needs to be fixed.
I absolutely love the new Planeswalker. She is absolutely PERFECT in an esper-planeswalker-control deck. Ponder, Lingering Souls, Gideon, Liliana, Sorin, Tamiyo, DoJ, Temporal Mastery, Mana Leak, Think Twice, Forbidden Alchemy, and your choice of finishers seems like a damn nice shell.
Also, the flavor is perfectly reasonable. She's a frickin' Moonfolk. Her story fits perfectly with the flavor of Innistrad and I'm glad she decided to join the party.. Take notes.
More like:
All of your creatures are unblockable until end of turn, take another turn after this one, your opponent draws a card.
Unfortunately, the moment this would become popular people will just play more Ray of Revelation which makes this useless.
But it exiles the permanent...so it's really difficult to build around.
On Wizards.com it seems to hint at Balance by saying "Innistrad's Fate Hangs in the Balance".

Yeah, but it's 5 mana in White. Seems completely useless.

Warning for Card Creation in the Mill
Could this be some type of Time Warp on a stick?
