The black-and-white inner border is really hard to pick out from the new Devoid border... at least with Hallowed Fountain the blue border jumped out. Even though this post was titled "Godless Shrine", I thought I was looking at some new colorless land.
The typeline at the bottom drives me more crazy every time I see it, too.
I really wish the art wasn't Zendikar specific, either. I don't like random hedrons in all my lands.

I really miss the old "tournament deck and 3 boosters" days. I used to go to tempest tournaments every weekend in middle school that were run that wayQuote from Galspanic »
The last pre-release I went used a Tournament deck and 3 boosters. I still can't get my head around seeded sealed pools.Quote from KolbaneX »In my day Prerelease was 6 packs and a promo you couldn't even use, and was a lesson in deckbuilding. -

Diarmuid posted a message on Zendikari expeditionsI figured out the numbering. It's in order of colors, notice how the 5 new lands are numbered 1-5 in WUBRG order.Posted in: The Rumor Mill
If you follow this by
6-10 Allied Shocks WUBRG
11-15 Enemy Shocks WUBRG
16-20 Allied Fetches WUBRG
21-25 Enemy Fetches WUBRG
It fits perfectly with Steam Vents at 12 and Arid Mesa at 24. -

Urza_butt posted a message on Zendikari expeditionsThe shocks will probably be around 100 plus or minus 20 depending on the colors. The fetches are likely to be up around 200 plus or minus 20. Regular foil verdant is 140 the new version will likely be 200 if not more.Posted in: The Rumor Mill -

Technomagus posted a message on Speculated New Dual Lands & GideonThe Nissa's Awakening is so awkward. If I'm understanding the Awaken mechanic correctly, your lands become 2/2s first, then you untap them (thanks to the trinket text), then the land you target dor the Awaken effect becomes a 0/0 and gets 4 +1/+1 counters. So you end up with one 4/4 Haste and a bunch of 2/2s.Posted in: The Rumor Mill -

MrMoustache posted a message on Vancouver Mulligan starting with BFZ pre-releasePosted in: The Rumor MillQuote from Canadian Guy of Wrath »Quote from sanmarco82 »Does this new rule apply to 2HG as well where the first Mull is free anyways?
The first mull is not free in 2HG
Actually, it is.
9.4 Pregame Procedure
5. Each player, in turn order, decides whether to mulligan. (Rules on Two-Headed Giant mulligans can
be found in the Magic Comprehensive Rules, rule 103.4c)
103.4c In a multiplayer game, the first time a player takes a mulligan, he or she draws a new hand of as many cards as he or she had before. Subsequent hands decrease by one card as normal.
For the first mulligan, you'll draw another 7. If you then proceed to mull to 6, you'll Scry 1. All this is assuming these rules aren't changed with the release of BFZ. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Here's the problem: Shocklands already have the option of coming into play tapped, and most decks can't function with basics, because their needs for colored mana are too strong. Everyone saying "but they're good against burn!", but the shocklands function very similarly if you want them to, or you're already fetching your basics against burn. It's not a big upside to maybe come into play untapped on turns 3+, when they can't come in untapped on turn 1 or 2.

You're no moron, it's a very subtle difference. I just wanted to point out the difference in templating and rules.

T: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool. Use this mana only to cast colorless spells, or activate abilities of colorless cards.

Incorrect.
"you’ll also be rewarded with Legendary Cube Prize Packs that contains six cards from a selection of 150 Legendary Cube cards."
Then further descriptions of what sets the cards may come from do not mean that the cards might not be in the cube, they mean that those are the cards in the cube that might be in the prize packs.
