    Do you guys think these "epic" spells have some connection with those cards that are rumored to have been inspired by Alpha cards?...

    Since they are advertised as powerful, they might be in a sense slightly toned down versions of power cards... Functional reprints in a Japanese setting to get around the reprint policy...

    Thoughts?
