No problem. I had some people ask me to write one so i decided if i was going to do it I was going to do it right.
I figured that not enough people from my meta would be reading this so i decided to go a little more in depth to give you guys exactly how i felt about specific decks and how to make them better, which is how a lot of writers DONT do it. Normally they explain the list and end it at that. I wanted to give you guys my opinion to make them better. You decide if its right or wrong.
thanks for commenting/reading and hope to see more in the future

If we had breeding pool completely different story. I would NOT be advocating GW midrange at all. it would be Bant. But unreliability to cast it is hard.
I can see using Farseek over Arbor elf but then your losing turn 2 geist, and imo the best Farseek deck is Jund (for aggressive ish decks) so your just behind... -
Oct 4, 2012DXI-Edge posted a message on RTR Brewing Part 2!I actually changed the Junk list to GW, as I was noticing some patterns in the Junk list:Posted in: DXI-Edge Blog
1) double white was hard.
2) single black was even harder
3) having both, while it did happen, didn't happen often.
The list relied a lot on going Overgrown tomb into Pilgrim, turn 2 Chapel/Sunpetal.
So I cut out the black, switched Decay to Charm and streamlined the deck and its much more consistent while still having removal. The lack of Sever sucks, but having 3 Charms for trample over lingering souls tokens helps.
I tried Vault over Gavony, but the deck's dorks did literally nothing late game. The deck liked having a mana sink that made your guys bigger, and 90% of the time the list out raves other decks anyway
Duress I'm not sure about
As for a list, GW midrange is powerful, UW Humans is good. Either I would be fine with. I'm working on. 3rd Rampy list right now but that won't be revealed till after provincials
Good luck! -
Sep 25, 2012DXI-Edge posted a message on RTR Brewing Part 2!I haven't found a good Jund Midrange deck to test against yet. I know there is one and i know its good but what it is i dont know yet, so thats why i didnt talk about it much.Posted in: DXI-Edge Blog
However, thank you and i do agree that it is, until breeding pool comes out in which case turn 2 geist could be a thing -
Sep 23, 2012DXI-Edge posted a message on RTR Brewing Part 2!Bonfire is gonna decrease in Popularity due to not being insane vs. Zombies. Its still good, and will see play, but not as much as it does nowPosted in: DXI-Edge Blog
Thragtusk is an important card yes i will admit that
Lingering Souls will also be good but if it gets too good Sever, Detention Sphere will run around the format.
For the entrance to the metagame, my 3 cards WILL be the format. As the metagame evolves, Lingering Souls and Thragtusk will become 2 more pillars -

Please go back up to 22 lands. Im gonna say go up to 23, but with Sign in Blood you MAY be able to afford 22, but 23 is optimal. 20 is WAY too few for a 3 colour deck, and you want 4 on turn 4 for Aristocrat anyway, so please go up to 23.
4 of Rancor, and so many red spells is asking for disaster, You need to slim down on the non-black spells, or move to a more midrange style.
PLAY DREG MANGLER! its insane and is an auto- 4 of in ALL zombie decks from here on out. I'm even playing it in Junk (see next blog post)

Second, not OVERLY. I think Junk midrange will actually be better due to having Green turn 1 more often while having other colours too (Temple Garden, Overgrown Tomb) Most of the good midrange decks I've played play Turn 1 dork to accelerate into the mid game bomb creatures.
The Junk deck I'm trying to build but there are so many variables for it its tough at the moment. however that is where i will be headed next.
Also, if more Rakdos cards are spoiled that are awesome, I'm probably also brewing Grixis Control. i edited that into the Blog.

May 13, 2012DXI-Edge posted a message on AVR First ImpressionsThanks, Lavamancer is actually not better than Vexing Devil. Trust me we've tried. The deck is all about speed and the fact that Vexing Devil can help you to deal 9 damage in a turn is hugePosted in: DXI-Edge Blog

First off, Promos for Duels of the Planeswalkers are the Titans themselves...
wait this is old news? Ok fine then...
On to the real news then:
What is this image you say? Its the menu of Duels of the Planeswalkers.
Notice how all the menu options have card images of cards from the core set?
and then we come to the archenemy image...and it is none other than
INFERNO TITAN
I firmly believe the Titans will be back.
thoughts?
Images attached.
After The GP we'll know what standard will be. Just wait
What i meant was in the bottom corner of the screenshot, wat appears to be the innistrad preview art is there. I can only assume that this is because that is none other than Lilliana.
Luminum Can: Thats my bad for not being specific. I understand
In other news...thats the last thing Merfolk in legacy needs: its own planeswalker
Recent studies show that "reading is tech." Infraction given.
Edit: And now I feel like a dick. Truly it is I who needs to read more carefully. I apologize. - luminum can
If its possible, i would like a picture of Koth, Moltensteel Dragon and Lightning Bolt, and if the words could say "Power of Fire" that would be sick.
Is this at all possible??
Or glinthawk idol? Even better! Gives you more resilience.
This ones a tricky one but i have a reason:
Bonehoard.
It measures creatures in graveyards. Yes its a living weapon but other living weapons mostly just give a set +X/+X amount. Not an actual +X/+X
(on a quick side note, didnt Mark Rosewater mention in one of his articles that some mechanic, i think Phyrexian Mana but im not sure..., was "good future planning"? It was on a dailymtg article...)
Others that standout in MBS:
Morbid Plunder
Sangromancer
Psychosis Crawler?
Mortarpod and Bonehoard are great equipment for this kind of deck
Edit: yikes i dont know what to get rid of we already had to cut a few to fit in Puresteel and SFM
It could turn out well. 3 SFM and 3 Puresteel, Metalcraft is a breeze...could work
Whats everyone playing for creatures??
I was thinkin either 3/3/3 of Phoenix, Urabrask and Titan or 4/4/2 of Phoenix, Moltensteel Dragon and Inferno Titan.
Besides you wanna win by turn 4 anyway. Memoricide = doesnt work until then.
Ok ive seen some trolls in my day but this is ridiculous.
Dude. Here is a picture of the color pie.
Here is a statement of Wizards themselves saying Red and White are different:
"White mana opposes red mana through the conflicts of order vs. chaos, defense vs. offense, and strategy vs. spontaneity."
Now, playing styles they work well together. according to MTG lore, Red and White are opposed.
Your opinion is greatly appreciated, but dont say things that aren't facts.
And dont get rude to other people when they're just trying to correct a mistake.
