We as a staff are currently working on a new site and will have more details to follow on this but there will a be a continuation site just now owned by the staff. More notes on this and its progress will be be found on the main cube forum page.
Another thing to note is I'm an avid Peasant cube and it would take my dead body before they remove the peasant and pauper cube section from the new site.

Wildfire393 posted a message on where to go for rumors after this site closesWe have something in the works, please stay tuned as the time draws closer. I'll address a few specific concerns here. But rest assured, if you like what we have now, you'll like what's coming. And hopefully we'll have something for people who aren't totally satisfied with what we have now, as well. We know that our community here is great, and we hope to salvage as much of that as possible.Posted in: The Rumor Mill

No plans to require social media logins.
Quote from Kedvesem »I, too, am wondering where to go for deck-building stuff. Reddit is not my cup of tea.
We will definitely have a deck-building focus. I strongly agree that Reddit does not handle deck discussion well.
Quote from netn10 »I just hope they will open forums like the forums in this site, with good moderators and the same quality...
Most of the current staff is involved in the effort to build a replacement, so you should be happy with the result. The owners are leaving, but the staff that has been involved in all of the day-to-day is remaining.
Quote from clubalien »i wonder if they would be willing to sell the site to someone to continue
Believe me when I say that we have explored the available options and that this is not possible.
Quote from RSSR »Have this site’s individuals who pay the bills to move over the lisence of this site to a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 License for others to pick up the costs and run with the site, we just need people willing to chip in month to month a brand new gang to run this site. Boom. Problem solved.
As above, we have explored our available options and that is not a possibility. We already have a solution in place, it is just a matter of getting things ironed out before MTGS closes. -

So much this. Magic needs players, not hoarders. -

calibretto posted a message on [Strictly Average MtG] Peasant Cube on a Budget - GreenI enjoy these write ups, man. I know they don't get much attention here in the articles forum, but I'm glad you keep posting them.Posted in: Articles, Podcasts, and Guides
Edit:
So, I finished the article and have some thoughts.
First, elves do tend to happen naturally in cubes of all shapes and sizes, but I don't think they're worthy of forcing into a tribal deck. There's just not much payoff there. Elves tend to be mana dorks that get picked up by the ramp and midrange decks. I think if you wanted to really support a tribal elf package in cube, you'd need to be looking for payoff elves like Birchlore Ranger or Lys Alana Huntmaster that could provide some value for including so many elves in your deck. Otherwise you're not really playing an elf deck, you're playing a ramp deck and that ends up being all that green really does.
With that said, I think I'd replace some of the cards you included to try to push elves with better non-elf versions that might prove to be more powerful in an average limited environment.
Replace Farhaven Elf with Civic Wayfinder. Putting the land directly onto the battlefield instead of in hand is not worth paying 3 mana for a 1/1 body. If you wanted to get fancy and try to put green into a more aggressive spot, you could go with Borderland Explorer here.
Replace Mwonvuli Beast Tracker with Wolfir Avenger. The Beast Tracker does a decent Worldly Tutor impression, but at 1GG for a vanilla 2/1 body, how good is it really? Wolfir Avenger has proven to be a super solid midrange and aggro support card. Flash it in and regenerate during combat for a pseudo removal spell in green. Play it EOT against control to draw out a counter so you cast that Arborback Stomper next turn.
Replace Elvish Harbinger with Thrashing Brontodon. Again, there aren't really any payoff elves here to be tutoring up and fetching a mana dork just seems unexciting. Brontodon provides a beefy body in combat at a decent cost and can take care of any artifact or enchantment that's causing problems when necessary.
Finally for creatures, replace Conclave Naturalists with Ridgescale Tusker. If you add in Brontodon, you've got a good Disenchant effect on legs. It is Sac vs ETB, but still it's an answer. Tusker has proven be a very powerful, often coming down early with the help of a few mana dorks that it graciously repays with a host of +1/+1 counters. Plus a five mana 5/5 is a solid value on its own.
For spells, if you lose the elf theme you could go with Sprout Swarm over Elvish Promenade. Sprout Swarm has always been a house favorite here and can really get out of hand quick. I suggested Centaur Glade as a non-creature option in the peasant thread, but I think I'd keep Grizzly Fate in and instead replace Hunting Triad with it, again to move away from pushing elves as a sub theme. Roar of the Wurm and Beast Attack are also decent non-creature (technically) options. Or if you wanted to not just be making creatures, you could make creatures bigger with Become Immense to throw in another combat trick. -

Yep. The way I see it, Bolas promises Domri similar things to what he promised Vraska. They are both anarchists, at the end of the day, and Ravnica is a Balkan setting, right?
The inspiration for Ravnica is medieval Prague, and as someone who lives there, I feel the need to inform you that it's definitely NOT Balkan. Prague is central Europe, Ravnica is generally inspired by central to eastern Europe. -

Wasteland and Strip Mine would probably be good if you were running a Loam archetype, yeah. Outside of that, probably not.
I've thought about adding them in mine, but they're only ever going to take out a shockland or Nykthos, really. Everything else is a fetch, or a bit pointless to aim at.

I'm in Australia, and I have Sethron and his token in hand. These were an SE Asia / Australia exclusive for Lunar New Year, and were given to stores as prize support for the Lunar New Year weekend. You can't get these anywhere outside of APAC LGSs.
Not sure about Yuriko, as I didn't see it down here (that may only be available in mainland SE Asia or something), but Sethron can definitely be found in Chinese as well as English.
I was really fortunate that my state was coming out of a pandemic lockdown, and one of my local stores just decided to YOLO it and offer them free with every $40+ purchase. I walked in with my fam, and walked out with four envelopes.

I like the cleanness of it, yeah. Definitely better. I kinda miss Ledger being readily available, though - I used to live in that screen, for some reason.
Yeah, I've heard tales that Malaysian mail has been particularly slow in the last month or two. Same holds for me, and I am much closer to Malaysia than you (I've had them take over two weeks as well).

Did I get the guilds sorted out correctly? I had a couple of pet cards sneak in in the end, but they felt right, so...

Without thinking too hard about things...
1) The cards I have added to the Best Multiplayer Cards List since BfZ - Blade of Selves, Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Grasp of Fate, Eldrazi Displacer, Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, Zulaport Cutthroat, Selvala's Stampede, Leovold, Emissary of Trest, Expropriate, Panharmonicon, Rashmi, Eternities Crafter. Be aware that some of those have exploded in price since I added them.
2) Cards I would probably add since I got too busy/lazy to hold votes for this (i.e. Amonkhet forward) - Anointed Procession, Glorybringer, Hour of Promise, Primal Amulet, Angrath, the Flame-Chained, Elenda, the Dusk Rose, The Immortal Sun, Runic Armasaur, Thousand-Year Storm, Biomancer's Familiar, Cindervines, Rhythm of the Wild, Wilderness Reclamation. Of course, this list is much more subjective (because you're relying solely on me).
I achieved this by adding a 40-card module onto the side of my 360 that were all commanders. This consisted of a single mono-coloured commander for each colour, two for each guild/two-colour combo, one for each three-colour combo, and five more random ones to make the 40 (in my cube, the last five are a colourless general, a five-colour general, and three of the better four-colour generals).
To draft, I dish these out in five-card boosters and draft them first (you can draft them last, but it freaks people out and you'll get complaints... if they've gone hard at a particular colour combination and can't get the general to match, there will be wailing).
While choosing your potential commander first limits what you're drafting out of the main 360 to an extent, I find it also makes people think a little harder about hate-drafting (e.g. "There's nothing left in there that works with the commander I want to use... oh wait, that card would screw me").

I've found Avatar of the Resolute sneaky good in these decks, too - it will often come down later in the game as a 6-7 power trampler with reach. For two mana. Good deal.
Bow of Nylea is pretty good utility for these decks too.

Cheers, man! Much appreciated!
Yeah, I was really on the bubble as to whether to drag the entire section down the Elf route. I was very, very close to putting Lys Alana Huntmaster in the list as the payoff, as that's how my own peasant cube works. In the end, I had... what... 10-11 Elves in the list? And that's my cutoff point in a 360 cube for an archetype that at least has a chance of working.
But are those 10-11 powerful enough? You're dead right that I think the cards in the list are probably just going to ramp into oblivion and hope to draw a whole pile of non-Elf finishers / Grizzly Fate FTW. So probably not a true Elf archetype.
If you throw out the push to Elves, all your suggestions are right on the money. To the point where I should even put Ridgescale Tusker in my own cube.
I'm gonna hit the end of this series and have to figure out how to incorporate all the awesome feedback from others...
