i'm slowly buying into the deck, just bought 3 copies of bloodmoon yesterday, the rest of the deck will come soon after..hopefully by christmas i will have the deck completed..
i've noticed that acidic slime hasn't been seeing a lot of play lately..could someone explain why to someone who is still learning the deck, thanks..
thanks moctzal..those are my thoughts too..i'm also on mono white, though i run parfait; i figured there's no better place to ask other mono white pilots(aside from the parfait forum) than in the DnT forum..
-----when sequencing, open with Sprawl in situations where you need the most resilient dork and the payoff at three is Moon or a powerful LD chain (Rain>Rain/Moss>Moss/Command, etc). If given the choice between Elf and Sprawl, if I’m in the dark, I also look at my payoff. Playing Elf first is riskier, but if I have another land and get a turn-two Thrun/Baloth/Acid-Moss into a turn-three Titan/Dragon, I’ll go for it. Also remember that Sprawl can be free the turn you play it if you can use one land to enchant the other. Birds is the riskiest, least powerful opener, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.- matt mendoza
my thoughts exactly..many lists i've been seeing run 3-4 moons..i would like to hear opinions from those who are still running it, is it still worth its slot? i feel it would just be turned off majority of the time..
i'm sure someone can explain it in more detail but in a nutshell; the deck have always struggled against fast, creature swarm strategies that chalice has almost become a necessity..chalice is very good against decks containing a lotta 1cmc spells especially when resolved early in the game..
fabricate is still ok..though i think treasure mage is just used a little bit more lately because it can chump block and stall, and that is just very good right now in this creature heavy meta in modern..
