"An explorer of one's own mind. A psychonaut often embarks on inner voyages with the aid of psychoactive substances, meditation, sensory deprivation, binaural beats, and other means. Most commonly, one who experiments with psychedelic substances. The goal of the psychonaut is to learn about self and reality by transcending normal consciousness. Psychonauts are distinguished from purely recreational users of psychoactive substances in their desire to learn and grow from these experiences."
I am building a pimped out Commander deck for a friend for Christmas. He is a psychonaut and introduced me to how to be a "Lawful Good" psychonaut in college.
What Commander best personifies the above definition of Psychonaut? In terms of flavor and function. What key Commander cards best personify Psychonauts?

If you post 8 suggestions that are "A+" suggestions (the card's name, art, and textbox perfectly illustrate the themes and goals of the Psychonaut deck) I will send you a foil version of a card from the list of cards you suggested!
Happy Holidays! May 2018 be as fruitful of a year as 2017 was for me!
I just got an e-mail that MTGO Traders is going to fund a new MTGO YouTube Channel.
Basically it's a Spikey 1v1 MTGO Competitive Commander catering to Johnny / Vorthos Player archetype. All our decks would be theme decks.
The twist? We play all our games COMPLETELY in character. Costume, makeup, props, and decorated background / set. Accents are appropriate but not necessary.
My character is Toadstool the Fat. He is a Dimir Spy tasked with infiltrating the Selesnya Conclave. He is a heretic that advocates the usage of psychogenic mushrooms to illicit hallucinations and spiritual advancement. He wears neon greens, dark purples, and emerald clothing. His mannerisms and visage is very similar to Professor Snape from the Harry Potter Universe, although his costuming is more akin to that of Professor Quirrel's.
I haven't decided on what his first theme deck is, but I think I want Sultai (UB for Dimir and G for Selesnya). If anyone could help me collaborate on a deck it would be appreciated and I could compensate you for your time.
Also, if you are interested in participating and have a background in acting and/or improve hit me up! I really want to go for a collaborative channel for everyone is included, all are welcome, and we are just a safe space for slinging cards and having fun with the depth of flavor in the game.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kwazy Kwanzaa, Tip Top Tet, and Solemn Ramadan!
The Magic Miniatures game with MSRP $60 sells at a discount store "Five Below" (Like 99 cent store but 5 dollars or less for all items) for 5 bucks.
If anyone wants a copy, I'd be willing to pick them up one for the price of the game and shipping.
EDIT: Truth be told, I think this entire situation just points out how incredibly hard game design is. So many people think that they can just "whip" up a game. WoTC would do a better / more profitable job opening up a private School of Game Design or having Seminars on Game Design at Learning Annexes across the country.
In some ways, Yes I totally agree with you. But I think the elimination of Core Sets and Starter Products has caused the Expert Level Expansions to be too simplified.
But new design space is consistently being explored. And you want to introduce and teach a new design space before exploring it fully.
Grusilda is going to be a popular Commander! She is a repeatable The Mimeoplasm and then some! I'm not familiar enough to know if Red is better than Green / Blue though...

"Hey we've been giving Commander and Casual players so much love over the year, why aren't we doing the same for the Spikes?"
Well this Spike appreciates the fact that for a small amount I can start going to Friday Night Magic again. Much love, Wizards. Much love.
I know I am a Wizards apologist, but sometimes they just do things that never need an apology. Sorry we shelled your format, have some sweet decks.
Got this for Xmas from my awesome cousin who I taught to play when he was 5 years old!
Any other fetch Magic apparel out there?
Everyone who posted before this post, please PM me your mailing address.
I will be sending all of you a copy of Arjun and an Unstable booster pack for all your help!
Merry Christmas
