God help us if golgari midrange drops a Corpsejack Menace on Turn four and thi on turn face. Gold help us.

Few things would make me happier to see on the other side of a table at a tournament than a turn four Corpsejack Menace.

I'm pretty sure that we've discovered every sensible rhyme for "Ankh of Mishra" and quite a few nonsensical ones at this point. It's time for a judge.

    No we haven't.

    Trunk of Mishra 2
    Artifact
T, sacrifice ~, sacrifice another artifact you control: You may search your library for an artifact with converted mana cost equal to either sacrificed artifact's converted mana cost. If you do, put it into play and shuffle your library.

Not surprisingly, that IS what has been happening ever since the rarity has been announced.

There aren't really that many mythics in most Tier 1 Standard decks. The Junk Aristocrats deck that Bonde won Open Worcester with (the most recent open) might be a $600 deck, but it only contains 9 mythics in the 75 and four times as many rares. The Jund deck that Reid won GP: Miami with, despite being a midrange deck that runs a lot of cards that tend to be mythic (splashy thing and Planeswalkers) still ran twice as many rares as mythics (with the maindeck being only about $400 and only $200 worth of cards that aren't land). None of his maindeck mythics cost more than ten dollars.

In fact, right now, there are comparatively few expensive mythics in Standard. Ignoring the temporarily inflated M14 prices ($40 Kalonian Hydras are a joke!), there are two high-dollar mythics in Standard: Voice and Liliana at $50 each. There are only TWO RTR-block mythics that cost more than $12 -- Voice and Domri Rade at $20. Voice is the only Standard card that costs more than $25 that sees extensive play (Liliana is only played in a fifth of Jund decks according to MTGGoldfish, and then only as a one-of). I'd hardly paint mythics as just a list of the tournament-playable cards in a set.

Aside from the me hating this for the fact that there is no reson to make Mishra a planeswalker, why does his ult make your heavy hitters 2/2s?

Well... it makes everything 2/2s. I don't know why. FIXED then

    Mishra, Artificer Master 1UBR
    Planeswalker - Mishra
{+1} If you cast an artifact spell this turn, you may search your library for an artifact card with the same name as an artifact spell you cast this turn and exile it. Then shuffle your library. You may cast the exiled card this turn.
{-2} ~ deals X damage to target creature or player, where X is the number of artifacts you control.
{-8} You get an emblem with "All permanents are artifacts in addition to their other types" and "Noncreature artifacts you control gain indestructible and are 5/5 creatures in addition to their other types".

Oh I love core sets. Lots of dudes that bash and don't do anything
I think that the scavenging ooze reprint will help us so much even of we don't run it, as there will be fewer rites decks in the meta because of it.

Uh, this seems pretty fine. Perhaps make it a zero-cost ability so that if you still need the land and don't want it to be a creature? 8/10

    Bonding Widget 3
    Artifact - Relic
Give 0 (Attach ~ to a planeswalker you control. Activate this ability only if ~ isn't attached to a planeswalker.)
Whenever a loyalty counter would be put on attached planeswalker, put two loyalty counters on attached planeswalker instead.
Whenever a cost would reduce the number of loyalty counters on attached planeswalker to zero, it reduces the number of loyalty counters to one instead.

I have absolutely no idea how to template this.

NEXT: Make another relic that grants an ability.

I'd ask him if he thinks that Magic now is striking a good balance between the relative power level of spell-heavy and creature-heavy strategies, and whether or not he feels combo should be represented in Standard environments.

I find it amusing when I play a control deck that has 30 creatures in it, because what they do is stronger than what I can do with spells and it wins faster than most traditional control lists.

I'd also ask him about possibly releasing Modern/Legacy staple commons and uncommons in textless format, because I absolutely love textless cards. I agree that it's a really bad idea for Standard-legal cards (excepting the extended-art Game Day promos) because people don't know what they do, but I'd dig textless Remands and Flickerwisps and AEther Vials. Maybe a 3/4 "Super Art" version for cards with very small amounts of rules text (Lightning Helix, Spell Snare, Serum Visions)? I really dig promos that aren't foil, as I often have few foil cards and really don't like having foils in something that isn't mostly foil.

~'s power and toughness are each equal to the number of creatures you control.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may populate a creature token that has a combined power and toughness of 4 or less.
