I don't disagree with this. But I think the decision to introduce Phyrexians into the plane simultaneously while you are showcasing the plane for the first time risks undermining the cool new plane before it gets even out of the gate.
We still don't know if the phyrexians will appear at all. Maybe it's just Vorinclex and that's it.
The theory of having all the 5 praetors showing up on different planes to give us a big "it's coming!" seems way more plausible than Kaldheim being Scars of Mirrodin #2.
Sadly we'll have to wait a lot for the ufficial spoilers...
I honestly don't know what you're getting at or why you're upset. Or how this relates to a straw man. I'm happy snow is in the set and I wasn't one of the people that complained about how WotC tricked us and the set is ruined because the set didn't have snow.
People were pretty much reasonable expecting snow since, well, skybreen, and no one demanded a "only a snow set"
Looks like wotc tried to make some tricks, hiding snow (and Vorinclex/phyrexians) for a big reveal probably. But as usual leaks ruined their plans.
EDIT: I have NO CLUE as to how this will tie in to Strixhaven in the least. Maybe a Phyrexian Newt a la Xantcha calibre infiltrates the school and they use that to enhance their magical powers to cause further mayhem on the multiverse? Maybe? I can haz storeelines?

These complaints about Vorinclex "ruining" Kaldheim are very similar to the earlier unfounded complaints that this wasn't a snow set and only a snow set.

That is an interesting connection. We've already seen in Door to Nothingness that WWUUBBRRGGt is considered a reasonable cost for "Target player loses the game". So the could probably print "Target player gains 10 poison counters. (A player with 10 or more poison counters loses the game)" for the same cost. That would make it theoretically possible to kill someone with poison in limited, but mostly theoretical, and allow you to use a poison card with no other support (which was my biggest strike against actual poison counters, being that they need typically need to be a major theme of the set to do anything.
