I found that my build, while not fast, wasn't slow either.

I went BW splashing green for Parallel lives and Ambush viper. I went 4-1. However, I ran a fast human/spirit aggro deck that could trap people with a Skirsdag High Priest.
Non-Artifact Creatures you control get +1/+1.
At the beginning of each upkeep, if Compleating Lord was dealt no damage last turn, transform Compleating Lord.

Counter target spell. If that spell was not primal then that spell's controller discards a card. (A spell is primal only if mana produced from basic lands was spent to cast it.)
Another one that just happened tonight, not really crazy, but pretty funny.
Grip of Chaos, Pandemonium andWarstorm Surge (all mine) are all out in 8 player EDH match. I Gather Specimens a Blightsteel Colossus, taking out a couple players. Next turn is mine, I drop Hive Mind and attack with BSC, taking out another (5 of us left). Our Intet Player decides to go out in a blaze of glory with all of us and kicks a rite of replication on BSC, hive mind triggers and 25 copies of BSC come out, triggering Pandemonium 25 times and Warstorm Surge 5 times, each entirely random due to Grip of Chaos. Needless to say, we all ended up with ridiculous amount of poison counters except for the Pheldagrif player, who somehow managed to not get targeted by any one of the triggers.
This sort of Ridiculousness is why I love playing chaos, where else can you see 330 infect damage done randomly.
Phyrexian Obliterator is my pet. I somehow pulled 2 of them in my first box when I came back to magic, looked at it, and loved it, and tried to build a deck around it, when I realized that the meta sorta just destroys it. Anyways, any time I build a black EDH deck I make sure to make room for one of these guys, and 'ware my wrath if you try to take him out.
Ticking Time Bomb comes with X charge counters on it.
At the beginning of each upkeep, remove a time counter from Ticking Time Bomb.

T1: Sanctuary Cat
T2: Skirsdag High Priest
T3: Lingering Souls
T4: Silver-Inlaid dagger, equip to cat. Begin to beat face with a 3/2 vanilla creature that he can't kill unless he wants to unleash hell.
Course I had turnabout a couple rounds later.
I had 60 tokens out (Parallel Lives,Requiem Angel, Increasing Devotion, FB Increasing Devotion. Divine Reckoning) about to beat in his face the next turn. He top decks Curse of Deaths Hold. I beat his face in with the Angel on my turn (He had 3 health left), but that really pissed me off.

Changed
Yeah, I've seen an Into the Roil hit with a Radiate, followed by a Wheel of Fortune in the lategame. Pissed everyone off at the table.
Read Training Grounds again, it can't drop it to zero, however, you could use it 3 times on t3.

Glimmervoid Basin is out
Grip of Chaos is out
Eye of the Storm is out, Time Spiral already exiled with it
I play Reversal of Fortune, it gets radiated by the plane.
Intet uses Radiate on Reversal.
Game ends in a draw as the stack never resolves due to infinite radiate staking.
