I run no Skites, 2 rhino, 2 resto, 3/3 decay/seize, no chords. I've been running this since shortly after khans release, except I added the second angel a little after, and the chords just kept getting cut but I hardly ever cast them anyways. I'm not sold on Murderous Cut, that what PtE is for, although I could be wrong cause I'm a terrible player.
It's all about inventory turnover, though. SCG is on record saying they'd rather sell 10 $10 cards than 1 $100 card. Also, they get to buy lower priced cards for a lower percentage.
It makes perfect sense to drop Legacy.
That's true. I'm just guessing that they would sell more inventory during Legacy Opens and I could very well be horribly wrong. Unless they sell a good portion of their Legacy inventory, it wouldn't be smart to "help" to make Legacy somewhat obsolete. While I realize that they've made their profits many times over, they most assuredly have at least $50,000 in Legacy staples.
SCG had much more than 50k$ in legacy staples, shoot, I have almost that much unless they drop because of this announcement but I don't care.
***Put a hurting on them for threatening you and your family's well being*** then call the authorities to have this garbage removed from your property.

"Misstep your Misstep" was heard frequently during it's reign in legacy; it would actually get quite ridiculous seeing as the most common decks at the time were no-rug, stoneblade, and merfolk. I don't think it would be as bad in modern but it wouldn't be good and only get worse with time.
Progressivism (and granted, Maher is one of them, but not here) makes no sense to me. To the progressive, the fact that 0.3% of Catholic priests are pedophiles somehow indicts a religion of millions, but a significantly larger chunk of Muslims identify with radical Islam and you're not allowed to say anything because that would be stereotyping? Western progressivism engages in a kind of ressentiment, it's a hipster religion... anything dominant in the West = bad, anything not dominant in the West is praiseworthy or at the very least "misunderstood." E.g., the noble savage myth, the hatred of humanity through environmentalism, abortion and population control, etc.
Far less than .3%, approx 6 million, of muslims are terrorists. And your .3% of Catholic priests is unsubstantiated and is most likely much higher.
The last time I was this excited about the "speed" and resiliency of a combo deck was when Epic experiment and Goblin Electromancer pushed storm over the edge and to top it off Ascendency, while going off just as early, takes longer but is much more resilient. I'm going to have to go with history on this one and presume the deck will be banned. I'm not even go to play it while it's available because I'll just get mad when my toys get taken from me. It is cool to see combo players utilize the creature-centric game being pushed now and still pulling it off.
A contractual agreement was made when Magic:The Gathering's rights were completely sold off by Garfield Games to establish and fundamentally withhold a reserve list on printed cards to ensure the collect-ability of the game would instill the continuation of Magic:The Gathering as a lifetime game.
I had heard this previously, around the announcement of modern as a format, while I thought it was highly likely I couldn't find proof. Thanks for putting that argument to rest.
