TBuzzsaw I am really digging your last deck list. in testing the mana base is working great still not sold on the Wingmate Roc I have been testing with warden of the first treein its place and it is working great for me, Thanks again for all your great posts.
- No Lightning Strike.
- Gives the counters like Ana with double duty with her.
- Evasion
- Ultimate Price is lousy against us so most decks will side it out.
I really like this manabase. I'm just not sure about wingmate at five mana I would rather flip a den protector and play some kind of spell. But I have never been a fan of wingmate
I don't think I like the idea of adding a fourth color to aggro list. It just doesn't seem worth the trouble for the cards you get and how crazy the mana base is. seems like we are the best deck staying at three color.
hey guys this is what I'm thinking of running right after rotation. I'm really liking the idea of pumping everything with Drana, Liberator of Malakir to get more damage in early.
Edit: I changed from 2 Utter end main to 1 Murderous Cut and another Valorous Stance
Utter End is more versatile and becomes one of the prime removal of the format, IMHO. Also I'll try to keep the aggro/boswell way and stay more toward the 24 land than up to 26, so awaken would be a bad game for me.
With no fleecemane I think a 4 of warden will be the aggro list, T1 into T2 pump/rakshasa will be the norm of abzan aggro.
Don't get me wrong Utter End its good and will continue to be top notch. just saying for me late game Ruinous Path helps get more threats on the board which makes me want to play it over Utter End.
and with Mana Confluence rotating out staying at 24 lands will be much harder to do it was the centerpiece of that land package.
The only reason it fell out of favor is because better stuff came along, and slight variants occurred (more removal, Surrak, Boon Satyr, etc) that caused it to get axed because there was no need for it over Fleecemane.
Now that there's no Fleecemane.. I don't see anything better than the Deathdealer for the 2 drop slot.
I think Ruinous Path is much better late game over Utter End sure you don't get to use it on their turn when they drop a planeswalker or creature, but you can do it one turn earlier than Utter End and if you have the mana late game to use awaken you get another threat being the 4/4 land.
This is a deck that I have been running for the last month at my FNM's and been doing very well with overall three top fours out of the last three i have gotten to play at. I have updated the deck some with Obzedat's Aid in place of Rites but think I'm going to switch that back in this build. and dropped murders for 3 Putrefy. any ideas on new cards to try in this build or anyone else running something like it?

Ok guys I'm building one of the many infect decks for Pauper on MTGO and need to find something to replace Invigorate because i can't find them and even if i did 9 to 10 bucks each is to much for me to pay. any ideals
How does your deck do VS U/B control and U/B infect I'm playing a list that is close to yours and Control and Infect always seem to beat my deck. infect is always close seems like i can never pull removal for inkmoth when i really need it I always get them down to 2 or 3 and they have enough to kill me with an inkmoth. got 6th at this weeks FNM but just need to learn how to handle those to decks. thanks for any help u can give.
I would like to make some suggestions for your list.
1- Nevermore maindeck is a big no-no, especially since you don't know your meta (which by your report I can see that this was the case). This goes sb
2- Gitaxian Probe is meh. Spells like these take away creature slots and you want lots of creatures.
3- Bonds of Faith and Divine Reckoning are terrible.
4- Accorder Paladin I have found to be underwhelming but not terrible so Ill leave it to your discretion. Same with Abolisher main (meta has a lot of aggro)
5- Isnt 4 Ghost Quarter a bit too much? Doesnt it put you off WW mana often?
What I have found through extensive testing is that the most efficient builds are the ones that:
a) Have a lot of creatures
b) Each of those creatures is either a very efficient beater per cost or has a relevant effect.
Im still tweaking around but its still pretty good. Each creature does something relevant and Leonin Relic-Warder is awesome main deck artifact/enchantment hate. He has eaten more golem tokens than I can count.
Thoughts?
I will give you Nevermore maindeck was a bad. but the probe is great for one drawing a card is great a being able to see what they are holding in hand helps alot give you a heads up on how to play your next turn so you can leave some guys in your hand if they are about to put out a slagstorm or something to wipe the board. or for you to cast nevermore if it is in hand. don't knock the Probe it was very handy.
and after playing U/B Control and them getting out a grave titan tell me how bad Bonds of Faith is it is only a 1 of in the deck and there to stop only the big stuff or to push Champion a little if you need it early game.
Divine Reckoning wasn't the best thing in the deck by far most of the time it was sideboarded out all but the tokens match up great card for that match up. when i am keeping a 5/5 Champion and they are keeping a 2/2 token or a Hero that gets a O-ring on it lol.
4 Ghost Quarter was a little bit to much should have been 3 or maybe 2 but there are so many decks trying to beat you down with some Inkmoth Nexus that you have to have these in you list didn't see much that could take care of a Inkmoth Nexus. Plus I have found with Wolf Runs if you bust a land round 2 or 3 it really slows them down for a round or two.
if i was you I would take out the Meeks first thing those cards look good but they don't help as much as you would think tested them wanted to keep them but they really slowed me down and used way to much mana to draw cards.
Grand Abolisher was main deck because walking around I seen a bunch of control that day and felt that it should go main deck cause i didn't want to lose round one to control and have to fight my way back. ended up i didn't play any control till round 5 so guess it was a bad call on my part but great card vs control.
your deck doesn't look like it could do much better or even as good as mine think we both need to get some Hero of the bladeholds and mirran crusaders. But over all this deck is fun to play win or lose really and it drive control nuts.
I would take out Gideon's Lawkeeper this would be a great card if you were running a control style deck. you want to beat down quickly if possible. since you wont be attacking with him most of the time and using him to tap other creatures id maybe sb hm if you really wanted him. maybe consider hero of bladehold in his place. its a good beat down card and a threat that will have to be dealt with. id move grand abolisher to the sb and add mirran crusader hes a must in this type of deck. i would also find a way to move the 4th o-ring mb to have that extra card to deal with something. i also run phyrexian metamorph he is so useful in this deck to copy your stuff or the other playes stuff. Lastly where is gideon jura? no white weenie deck should be without him.
well Lawkeeper is pretty much there to pump Champion and take care of something if they get out something big. but with honor of the pure he was swinging for 2 or 3 most of the time. but yeah wasn't able to get a hold of Hero's or Mirran crusader. and didn't have the money for Gideon but think that might be some stuff to get and try didn't really think of Metamorph but could see how it could be good in this deck. thanks for the tip will try and get these cards and try again.

Wolf Run Green think this deck ended up in the top 8. game one I came out of the gate fast and made short work of him games two and three he shut me down and beat my face in with a bunch of dudes. my WW deck just doesn't do very well against Wolf Run guess i should have done more testing.
Round 2 Won
G/W tokens this was by far a great match up for me game one he won but just because I keep a bad hand after going down to 5 cards and didn't draw any land. I sided in the 3 Timely Reinforcements and the Oblivion Ring and beat his face in with a Champion of the Parish. Timely Reinforcements were my best friends for this match up late game pretty much won game 3 hands down by itself.
Round 3 Loss
Wolf Run Red. Needless to say this deck sucks against any wolf run deck right now. won the 1st game cause he got mana screwed big time and couldn't play anything. game two i messed up made some bad plays and held two Nevermore and didn't really know what to call when i played them I just didn't read up enough about these decks and didn't know what was in them I think i could have taken this match but didn't do my homework and it cost me a loss for round 3.
Round 4 Won
Played a G/W/U Pod deck this is another good match up for WW decks went 2-0 on this guy just kept beating him down with all my guys. game two cast a Nevermore naming Pod and he conceded the match.
Round 5 Loss
U/W Control it was a pretty close game both times I made a few play mistakes and he was able to kill me with a Hero of the bladehold and some tokens. Again it was my fault for not doing my homework on these decks.
Think this deck still needs some tuning maybe splash some Blue or Black. it just needs something to help with wolf run decks mostly. Played 1 of the U/B control decks that was there and beat it hands down everytime we played that is a great match up for WW as well. also played a U/R Druidic Satchel deck after Round 5 just for run and also beat it easly 4 out of 5 games. let me know what you think we could do to save this deck its really fun when it wins lol as are most decks i think.
