The Custom Card Creation Random Card of the Day for Monday January 21 2019 is Harm's Way
I've always enjoyed the surprise factor of damage redirection – especially with something like Deflecting Palm – but Harm's Way just doesn't get it done. If Harm's Way could shield your team against the entirety of Pyroclasm it'd be a different story. HW does help out your walkers if need be.
Gives me an idea for an emblem/enchantment that stores damage for "any target" redirects.
The Custom Card Random Card of the Day for 1/20/19 is Priest of Titania
I'd put money on elves being the best tribe for this effect. Coupled with the right pieces PoT pivots a game around itself.
Being improved by all elves at a table makes me think that humans may be a more consistent tribe to benefit from opponents.
Does W every get this sort of thing for Humans? could it? B with zombies?
non elf tribes would need a little reflavoring
Land of Priest
Land
~ enters the battlefield tapped. T: Add C for each basic land type on the battlefield.
The Custom Card Random Card of the Day for 1/19/19 is Blinding Fog
When are both parts of this card going to pay off simultaneously? Probably maximized when you attack and defender responds after blocking by attempting to target a creature of yours. |Reading it again and it prevents damage to all creatures so you would still lose out in the scenario I mentioned.
Id like something like
Grinding Log2G
Instant
Prevent all damage that would be dealt to creatures you control this turn. Creatures you control gain hexproof until end of turn.
Mephitic MorayU
Creature – Fish R
Infect
Whenever Mephitic Moray deals combat damage or becomes the target of a spell or ability, exile it. Only ever seen once. That's enough.

What is the dead creature is exiled? That could reduce to abuse factor but honestly it seems fine as is. If Meat Market is really causing that much advantage then opponents should maybe just play their cards better lol
I'd like to see it at 3 damage – really widens its use. If anyone is a fan of the 1st Starship Troopers movie – OP art concept reminds me of the bladewing insect sscene when the general gets smashed by a flying bug after being clipped in-air
Animate Dead
I think it will bring Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle into play, fall off, leaving a big sleeping Kraken behind. Is that correct? If so, is it correct for Necromancy and Dance of the Dead too? Also, what about Apprentice Necromancer, how does that work? Would Arixmethes just plop in as a land and won't be sac'd? If it does get sac'd is it because Apprentice Necromancer says "it" instead of "that creature"?
Neither Animate Dead nor Necromancy can enchant the land so they will bring Arixmethes back, not attach, go to the graveyard, and trigger (since they went to the graveyard). Since they triggered, they will force you to sac the object they brought back no matter what characteristics it may have.
Necromancer is the same. It will make you sac the land it brings back. None of these allow you to get, and retain, an Arixmethes
Ula, Commuters' DelightU
Legendary Creature – Eldrazi Sheep
Defender, indestructible
Devoid "When it came, Tauven's departing hex saved us all. But did he have drop it in front of the gate?"
– Gerald, Transportation Chief

If I play Hunted Wumpus cards, is there ever a time where I can flash in Mistcaller to exile my opponent's creatures after theyve decided what to play but before they can back out?
I'm new to Pauper and I can't tell if draining 9 damage each turn starting on T3 is very good. Loyal Subordinate is maybe my favorite.
I can't ignore the potential of Loyal Apprentice either. Loyal Drake gets us a card the turn we play it and each turn after.
Even Loyal Unicorn seems like it could be great somewhere.

Creature – Elf Druid
When Priest Var enters the battlefield, if you cast it, add G for each elf on the battlefield.

I wonder what this would be like to play with/against

I'm also thinking that Simic Ascendency could win out of nowhere with Sidisi and Path of Discovery. OK not out of nowhere but it could be fun. Maybe throw in some Vorel of the Hull Clade
